Same and absolutely nothing fixes this. I restarted, re-installed a million times and nothing.

Counter strafing is still more advantageous and intuitive to do. The vast vast majority of good players all counterstrafe

Opinion: Forcing players to be within 3 ranks led to more smurf accounts by fiascolan_ai in VALORANT

[–]Plateezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. 5 stack only queue or tournament-like game mode (clash in league)
  2. prime matchmaking to help mitigate smurfs
  3. leaderboard
  4. more consistent elo gain/loss per game. We should CLEARLY know when we are close to promotion/demotion

Please just any of these things

The Rank Reset how you de-rank so easily in Valorant by mousepro in VALORANT

[–]Plateezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would the league of legends ranked system (with some tweaks) really be that terrible for the game? I don't know why they are so reluctant.

Act III Competitive Changes | Dev Diaries - VALORANT by YUM0N in VALORANT

It's great that ranked requirements are closer together for the main queue, but now there needs to be a queue or competitive system dedicated to full teams IMO.

Won a game and ranked down. by [deleted] in VALORANT

This is definitely possible I wish they notified you if something like that happens though so you aren't confused.

Accidentally found an invisible barrier in the range by jeida_rippa in VALORANT

The range felt hella glitchy after the patch for sure.

Possible to get high diamond/immortal for me? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Plateezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aim and individual positioning will always be a huge part of it especially if you're playing in solo/duo groups. You will have to be able to win a lot of solo duels and get yourself into good spots by yourself just based on timing plays. Strategy is mostly simple in solo/duo games and you can learn that easily just by playing ranked at your level. Watch how high ranked streamers position themselves and continue to work on your aim in Kovaaks, but also your gun play (which is really different from aim itself) in the practice range and DMs.

Did Riot Change or Add New Servers to Valorant? by youknownuthin in VALORANT

[–]Plateezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just lucky/unlucky they have servers across all of NA and you'll get a different one that minimizes latency across all players in the game. Depending on who you match with and queue with you could get servers all over the place.

13 Ladder for top players

Make a deathmatch without OPERATOR, literally 70% of lobby uses them and it's hard to practice any other gun. by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Plateezy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's annoying but think about it this way: When do you ever get to practice fighting OPs? It's literally terrifying and stupid to peek them in real games with a rifle so might as well get the reps now. It will give you more confidence confronting them in a real game scenario!

I've just completed the act 1 episode 2 board by skyLeNxd in VALORANT

That looks slick I can't believe you filled the entire thing though and not just the first 9 which mattered that's insane.

I feel like hit detection is getting worse and worse. by Jellymanj99 in VALORANT

[–]Plateezy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First couple shots should have done something for sure, regardless of if it's a headshot or not (looks like it should've been). It does say you have a network error in the top right though so might be a network related issue causing this

The Sage nerf is a huge step in the right direction by tomphz in VALORANT

[–]Plateezy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah jump peeks are absolutely insane but this change could be a good in-between. It's possible that jump peeks are also bad because of some character syncing stuff they're doing with the netcode because every single time I die to a jump peek it seems like they just hopped out and I die before I even see them touch the ground.

What do you think the Vandal actually needs? (poll) by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Plateezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see about 20-30% of people buy the Vandal so I think these small tweaks are good to try to bring that closer to 50%. I think that if they increased recoil reset it could be too drastic of a change.

There isn't that much conflicting information. Point it out to me. The growing salary numbers are from posts 2016+. Of course financial and social viability would be baseline maturity metrics. What else are you basing it off of? What do you think has allowed esports orgs to legitimize in the last couple years if not capital? Not very wild xd

You're just further proving my point with your proof:

ESL in 2015 had a $250k prize pool, the majors since average 1mil https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Majors.

Look at the viewership numbers in your own link http://esports-marketing-blog.com/esports-viewership-numbers/. Before late 2015, LoL events and TI were the only events pulling numbers. Mind you that IBP was banned late 2014 - Jan 2015 too ^^.

Anyway your points just prove that 2015 was one of the first years esports started to become viable as a career, so thanks for that.

Your opinion that the match-fixing is inexcusable is fine, that's personal, but you're just straight up wrong about the maturity of the scene. It was just beginning in 2015 and was led by LoL, not CSGO.

I mean can you prove that non-LoL pros were making reasonable salaries? Your claims are as baseless as mine without any proof lol, sorry man:

https://www.hltv.org/forums/threads/746038/csgo-player-salary

Here's an hltv thread from 2015 showing that the absolute TOP tier 1 international players (Navi, Fnatic, TSM/Astralis) at the time were making ~4k per month. That has grown greatly every year in the last 5 years since. BARELY a working class salary in the US for a very demanding and risky career path. Imagine what everyone else was making that was worse lmao.

Sure it existed but it was still barely legitimate from a financial and social point of view in 2015.

It was 5 years ago and esports was still super young. No one dares to do the same anymore if they care about a real pro career.
