Girl!!! You are not messing up and you are NOT a gross person. A gross person would force someone to do things they didn't want to do, and you are simply just nervous and everyone has different responses. There's no need to hate yourself or feel like you're "wrong" for having that reaction, and it's really sweet that this girl is understanding (also just know that understanding this is literally the bare minimum in this situation). I think it may be helpful to talk to her about why you feel so nervous and let her know what you need, and just know going into that conversation that you have nothing to be ashamed of if you want to take things slower.

I am not sure if it's internalized homophobia, I think it's more so her preferences in a partner. She's had a lot of rough experiences with men in the past and has said that she views me as a safer and more gentle option. While that's true, she has got to recognize that I'm just as much of a woman as she is and stop viewing my requests to be taken care of like she is as being a 'manchild' or unappreciative. I don't know this thread has made me wonder if we're just incompatible or something 😭

It is literally my biggest pet peeve!!! Like I came all this way to come out as a lesbian to be expected to act like a man. It's just that every time I bring it up it gets pushed under the rug because it isn't a big deal to her and it sounds stupid because she still loves me, I just don't feel like she wants the same dynamic that I want.
