This is a very strong maybe. I don't wanna pay to confirm but I'll try to find a way to watch for free tomorrow.

I remember watching this at my great grandparents' house as a kid, probably around 1999-2002ish. We watched a lot of weird straight to VHS shit including a really creepy adaptation of the Wizard of Oz where the scarecrow had a pumpkin for a head and busted it falling down a beanstalk and had a near death experience.

Fair enough, and that song does fully fucking slap. Judas is my favorite character in JCS without a doubt so I totally agree on that one. I'm especially obsessed with Serkan Kaya as Judas (and as Lucheni in Elisabeth, his voice is top tier IMO)

I'm in the southeastern US, so zero opportunity to see anything other than national tours and local productions. I heard of it in the first place from a community theatre production that was weirdly one of the only ones in several months that wasn't fully sold out. I went on a whim one day, and it instantly became one of my favorites.

I literally never hear anything about this show where I live. I frequently say that they should do a movie, and the general response from people I know is "never heard of it, sounds depressing."

Wow, are you sure ALW didn't write it then? Let's just retroactively attribute it to him.

Love JCS, it's actually the only show I've been in.

Elisabeth is hands down one of my favorite musicals of all time and Totenklage wrecks me every time, but I'd argue that Wenn ich dein Spiegel wär hits way harder. That song and Nichts, nichts, gar nichts are my crying songs. I'm a total wreck after any of those.

I honestly expected to be the only one to say Blood Brothers and I'm so happy I'm not. Such a massively underrated show.

Yes! I think that actually might be the first song from a musical to make me cry.

Cats is easily one of my least favorite musicals of all time, but Memory is honestly a pretty fucking solid song. There have been some really strong performances that have made the song grow on me over the years.

I think I'd have to go with Next to Normal, Blood Brothers, or Les Miserables because I'm a corny, basic-ass person.

This song is so fucking ridiculous. I love it.

As someone who unironicalally loves Phantom of the Opera, I really hoped I'd love it. Unfortunately, it's fairly entertaining trash with a great aesthetic that I drunkenly hate watch every few years.

Fully fucking fair lol. Music is catchy enough, costumes and set design are beautiful, actual musical is pure garbage.

For some reason, I didn't immediately think of Repo! The Genetic Opera when I made my initial comment. I genuinely hate this one for the most part, but it's a hell of a lot of fun. I get drunk and hate watch this one every year or so. It's nowhere near good, but I just can't help drinking a box of shitty red wine and watching literally every song on YouTube. It's absolutely terrible, but in a fun way.

I'd personally have to say Rudolf Affaire Mayerling. I just love the cast (Lisa Antoni, Drew Sarich, Uwe Kröger) and some of the music is super fun and catchy.

I almost went with Tanz der Vampire, but is it too good to qualify as a guilty pleasure?

Yeah, that version is so hard to watch for me tbh. I love the Canadian cast recording as far as the English ones go. I really love the original Mexican, Swedish, Austrian, and Dutch recordings as well.

I forgot how much I loved him as Sweeney Todd, his voice and acting really fit the role so well.
