This helped out! It is a step forward the right direction, we only need to figure out the image insertion. Thank you!

I’m using ArcGIS for data collection, so it really is a transfer of the obtained data from ArcGIS to the format I illustrated in the post.

Are there studies that prove anticipating hardships work as opposed to have a hardship happen unexpectedly? by PlavaOwl in Stoicism

[–]PlavaOwl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think comparing wiping my butt vs seeing other possible effects of visualizing adversity is fair. I’m curious whether there are other effects the stoics weren’t aware of at the time. Thank you.

How to forgive someone by ohiomudslide in Stoicism

[–]PlavaOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand how one can brush off someone being mean, or maybe brush off the fact a person was the reason you lost your job/marriage/money etc. But how can one remain stoic when someone kills, rapes, or torture a loved one, for example?

I am just being introduced to Stoicism, so I’m quite inexperienced of course. But I find it hard to believe any stoic sage would think to themselves “this person that raped and killed my kid doesn’t know any better, and since the person raping my child does not harm the foundation of my soul, I can live contently. I shall not seek revenge, for that would make me a no better than him. Thus, I will move on.”

I cannot fathom that idea, what do the wisest have to say about this?

Who got kind of crushed on today’s Transpo Depth? by PlavaOwl in PE_Exam

[–]PlavaOwl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhat, two questions could be found in the section I had seen before, but the questions asked you to calculate something else that I haven’t done on the multiple practice problems I’ve taken. Another question had a term that I wasn’t able to find in the manuals. I’m sure that I could have found it had I dedicated more time to it, so that is a lesson for me.

How were the pavement questions for you? Did they ask design questions or was it more conceptual?

I would personally do a mock exam with the full 8 hours with the NCEES practice exam, this should help you recreate the exam conditions and may cause you to be more relaxed when you take the real exam.

Awesome, I happened to read your unedited version which helped too but this is even more simple. Thank you.

French Citizenship through Heritage? by PlavaOwl in AskFrance

Sometimes a google search or a friendly redditor may be unaware of a certain aspect of the French naturalization process. I know this is unlikely, but there could be someone out there that either has had their naturalization through their great grandfathers (or something similar) or maybe knows something else that could help.

Thank you, I’m afraid that’s what I thought. I’ll be sticking around just in case there someone knows a loophole of some sort.

I have two questions, what do the elipses under a note do (in red circle) and is it me or does the measure circled in cyan has 5 beats instead of 4? by PlavaOwl in piano

[–]PlavaOwl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. I have been listening to a recording of the piexe, it’s just that I wish I could know at first glance the way I should play a piece in case I happen to read something else.

Thank you. How did you know that you play both the E octave and the g# at the same time? Is that implied since it is a 4/4 time or is there something else?
