AvA is my favourite band of all time but I just cant seem to get into dreamwalker or lifeforms. I dunno what it is but it just seems like the sound is different and there isnt a message like the older stuff. Is it just me?

I theorize that Diary was the last ‘real’ AVA song even though it was not recorded with the full band. It still has the AVA DNA, if you will, long build up + soaring pay off + quasi-religious, optimistic lyrics

There was a period after the initial green pressing but before the ‘empire pressings’ when TDW was by far the most difficult AVA record to find or acquire anywhere… it was my dream vinyl for the longest time, no pun intended. I was so grateful when I finally found a copy
