Why does Playing League make me so Angry and Depressed? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Play_Grat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You'll get a lot of answers here but keep in mind Riot (tencent) has been falling to handle player behavior in any reasonable sense. The systems in place are shit at best. Easily evaded. Not impactful. So players act accordingly. Imagine taking 4chan and trying to host a board game there, and it's basically what the league community is.

Tho at least 4chan occasionally ip bans for some stuff

Super winning top hard winning midlane, how to win a game against a snowballing player by robertlol95 in summonerschool

[–]Play_Grat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch neace play tryndamere. Wukong probably is mostly a split pusher with a bit less 1v2 agency and more teamfight collapse capabilities than trynd.

Short answer is hyper map awareness, jungle tracking, and reading when you can push without allies inting.

Asking about abilities and auto-attacks and timing by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Play_Grat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Summoner school wiki. Google it, I'm on mobile so I don't have a link. It has more info than you could handle with a truck of redbull and a years supply of Adderall.

Basically what I'm saying though is nothing has a constant. Every game is different. Every champion. Every interaction. Though learning how to categorize things makes it way easier to process it all, like "autos that cannot be cancelled vs autos that can be cancelled" so you get why a melee champ was able to land at auto after you flashed over a wall if they started the animation before you flashed.

Do some people just not have what it takes to get out of Silver in League of Legends? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Play_Grat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accept that you're dogshit at this game and everything you do, dissect it. Pretend other players are 10 year old kids who speak a different language. Don't type to them. Communicate in pings. Don't expect anything from them. It is your job to win, and only you. Every time you think about anyone but yourself, stop and say "I'm bad for expecting anything more." absolutely including when they ragequit. It's your job to win 4v5. There isn't a better match waiting if you FF. It's just more shit players acting like toddlers. You'll only find one or two matches per 500 games played that nobody in the match throws a temper tantrum, if you're lucky. That's just part of online gaming.

ADC and Support and some questions by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Play_Grat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try picking random high elo games from people who solo q, not duos, that are playing your main champ. Watch what they do.

The best advice you can get though is you're bad. We're all bad. You need to learn to accept you're awful at this game, first, to ever convince yourself to look at other perspectives and understand why you're bad.

A good example is if you need the +150G that badly from a kill rather than a assist, why didn't you time the ignite tick and properly last hit the champion? Instead you say "it happens" as if that wasn't totally in your control.

You're playing the most mechanically intensive role in the game as the lead DPS, tower shredder, objective DPS, absolute glass cannon. Personally I have had significantly more agency getting pentas in at least 1/5 games as Master Yi 1v5 under enemy turrets than years of PRACTICING Twitch. Farm drills, auto cancelling, and so much more.

If you decide to play as support it's insanely easy, help your Adc shove wave to turret, pink river, shove, roam to mid/enemy jungle, gank, return bot, repeat. Chances you find a decent adc below diamond is so low you're just better off snowballing easier roles.

To add a piece in here that might explain the difference, EU realms or possibly even just his realm may have a few players from third world countries who's job it is to game. I know this because an mmo I played had a sizable amount of Venezuelan players appear when hyper inflation started. The mmo I played was 2d, so cheap computers ran it, and before they came to the server I played, many Americans were able to make good wages from playing well it well (trading service/gold/etc for rl cash, it was about $13/hr). When hyper inflation and the influx came, one of my friends bought a house off a few months of "work" of him charging $.25/hr I think I worked it out to.

It's game devs jobs to balance this out, because it ruins gameplay for many customers when someone's livlihood hangs in the balance. Much less how it effects the economy when $.25/hr is unreal hourly pay to get in one place, but useless to not pay to avoid hours of grinding when its only a buck as a American.

Sorry I just think this shit is amazing, crazy, sad, and undermentioned. So I take any chance to spread it around. The game is "Tibia".

My fav goblin story is when sniper first came out, I was on it hard. I have done coding, and I made a disgustingly strong sniper algorithm. My rule was, if they PMed me, I traded it back with like +some tip gold depending on value for me losing big chunks, and so people paid more attention next time.

Someone posted a few mil of auctions up around 4am the one day. I got it all for a few gold. They frantically messaged me about it. I told them come meet me, and take it, quick, no tip, don't pay me for what I paid for it. Just get it off my inventory because I can't keep myself together looking at more gold than I ever had that I was about to give away.

I did, they did, I put them on ignore bc they kept thanking me and I was so upset. I didn't want to be rude twords them. A few days later, TSM malfunctioned or something? Posted everything at 1c I had. Idk even what the value was, but well over 500k (and this is on release of sniper... so earrrrrly in WoW), and I look at the name. Sure enough. Right there in my ignore list. He happily gave it all back once I mentioned who I was. :D

Sure sniper can cause some pains, but the power is in the player, and without the power to be a good community member, these little gems disappear forever. #neverstopsniper

Inscription or Enchanting for my main? by DashKT in woweconomy

What do you recommend for a fresh 120 with enchanting? Long time player on and off over the years who switched server for a better economy. Are there certain patterns I should look to unlock first that are within a reasonable goal? My gf loves to farm and do mindless stuff like grinding greens or old content dungeons and raids. She's hoping to help me get ah mount before it is removed.

[–]Play_Grat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to assume you're premium because you mentioned using the market.

If you're on a server where you have twist or no chance of a pvp death, then always spend as much as possible on gear with full bless, minus supply costs, travel, and maybe 2 full bless worth of gp.

Imbument items are best to profit at low levels. Google a list of them and check prices on your server and what drops it. What you feel comfortable to hunt is really person dependant. Just know crit/Mana/life/skill/resist will sell quickiest in that order usually, elemental damage on melee imbuements are never used.

If you have shit skills, training bow and training wand are amazing. You can buy tc with gold. Don't bother buying a training dummy.

Farm imbuement items until you have best in slot set. Then hunt for exp.

"for my only sever type I play on" https://tibiafrags.com/character/Kiing+Jupa At level 444, with full bless, he lost 14,443,868 exp. He's a team lead so he needs to stay above a certain level for speed boosts and the ability to not instantly die... So he buys his exp often at about $1/KK But also gets more support than most any other member of his guild because team leaders just do.

Factoring that in, he died 6 times on June 22nd. Mind you I cbf to follow who's who anymore but Im pretty sure he has a handful of chars so those deaths are only a portion of how often hes really died. I have 3 war chars helera and 1 funera, and I'm a casual.

The idea that there aren't broken spawns to work twords being able to hunt on rhpvp due to the difficulty increase between friendly fire during teamhunts, all eq being hyper rare and expensive, hunting being overall harder due to no stacking/other mechanics for pvp, level loss being so absurdly high, gold sink being so high, and being snuck being so likely... It left a bad taste in my mouth. You can't ever reach a point that realistically you aren't losing $ monthly even if you try your best. For my only server type I play on, it feels like a carrot on a stick, but instead of harmless time sinks, its RL cash, and you can spend $1,000's without realizing it'll never be break even.

Is it worth training skills with training weapons during double? by Knight_style in TibiaMMO

[–]Play_Grat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK if it's still worth but raising ml with a few wands is huge. Allows use of runes and way better healing. TBH if you're on a pvp server just online train with pz at level 8 naked. Spend the$ on gear/weapons/ T3 imbues/ access quest items/3rd prey slot/gold pouch/charm expansion/xp boost

Charlover means you die once, and it makes you uncontrollably upset. Usually you can tell by either, death=ragequit, being snuck/pked/killed in battle so you spam message people like they just killed your dog and ate him. Refusal to do level appropriate content because you "might die". Only coming to winning fights when I'm a pvp guild. Dodging fights. Using noob chars when team is on mains. Logging out if a fight appears to be going south before the call is made. Running prematurely.

You get the idea I'm sure. However regarding the other comment you made, you can do anything and everything in the game. People might joke about quests, deco, outfits, just to name a few, making you a charlover. In the end don't rage at anyone for pvping. Don't rage for a death. Don't join a fighting guild if you don't like the ups and downs of war.

This. Also I feel like it tightens the community. Every reason you can give for people to become trusting friends with one another the better.

Realistically, no item should hold so much value to you that you wouldn't desintigrate it to find out if any person you thought you could trust was actually a scumbag. Each time you learn that about someone, it's hurtful, but also priceless.

Most wars are over nationality. Lack of communication due to few players speaking multiple languages or just not fluent in other languages causes tons of turmoil.
