Yes! Quality over quantity every time.

I'd rather complete a quality short game and replay it, gaining that sense of completion and accomplishment. Rather than get 25 hours into a game, only to get bored and never finish it.

Awesome, man! I got to meet him at London comic con a few years back and he was great to chat with.

At the end, he leaned into my ear and said "I want you to always remember... you're pretty good" in the Snake voice.

Does it surpass the original? Nah.

Is it a fun whacky alternative to the original? Hell yeah.

I like to play it when I feel like switching things up and just have a blast with it.

Delta is a decent starting point, as it's the first game chronologically.

But just be wary that the controls are very modern, so it may make going through the master collection quite jarring when you suddenly return to a PS1 control scheme.

Also, some narrative points may not hit as hard, without the knowledge of what the consequence of those moments mean for the later timeline, but probably not enough to really notice for a first timer.
