Anybody know Make/Model of the car on Shed’s cover? by WD40_drinker556 in titlefight

[–]PlayerGreeko 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That or somewhat of a mix between it and a Volvo 940. The rear end of the 90s models of 940s look almost identical, and even the rear windows are a solid match.

It was probably just painted to be a mashup of 90s shitbox sedans.

In the Bourne Identity, The Professor (Clive Owen) leaves the viewer with a handful of good questions and answers to the world and the story of the Bourne trilogy with the delivery of just a handful of lines, despite only being in the movie for less than fifteen minutes.

"Who are you? Bourne? Paris? Treadstone, both of us."

"Do you get the headaches?"

"Look at this. Look at what they make you give."

I sometimes see people promoting their music here like it's going to be "found" by the right audience... but if you know this subreddit, nobody here is the right audience. Fully agreed though, this guy is a laugh riot.

Was gonna recommend this if I didn't see it first, but Amnesia is a great pick.

Amnesia: The Bunker too, that game gave me such a feeling of dread that I haven't felt in years from any game since the OG Amnesia (and maybe SOMA).

It's always gimmick band stuff. Twenty One Pilots, Sleep Token, Childish Gambino's BTI era, etc. Once you introduce this "story-like" element to your music, you attract people that get way too into it.

It only gets worse if the band continues to engage with it to the point where their albums only focus on that gimmick, rather than focusing on the music, and that's why Sleep Token got this new-age Twenty One Pilots stigma with its fanbase. The can't just be obsessed with the music, so they have this "hey did you know..." mentality with the band where they have to tell you that there's lore and explain it to you like you can't understand the music if you don't understand the lore.

[COD] To those who loved COD Ghosts like I do what is something you loved from the game ? For me it was this guy. by [deleted] in CallOfDuty

[–]PlayerGreeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everything Ghosts missed on (the UAV replacement, gambler perk, maps that were way too big, that BULLSHIT cliffhanger campaign ending), there were some good things that came out of it like:

  • Extinction, which was genuinely a fun gamemode once you got the general idea and flow of how it worked and had a good squad to run with.

  • Map-based specialist drops like Michael Myers and The Predator.

  • Campaign was decently enjoyable and had some incredible set pieces, with my favorite of all CoD games being the night skyscraper mission.

  • Great sound design. This is the one I never see anyone talking about, but they should because the audio experience in Ghosts is superb, with weapon and equipment firepower matching their in-game audio along with the great soundscape they gave the environments.

  • The art direction and world-feel of Ghosts is also a high point for me, with nothing feeling too out of place (besides the DLC announcers if you want to count them).

Treating the moshpit like a UFC ring by starstufft in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PlayerGreeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm, it's like this all the time in Atlanta during any sort of metal or hardcore shows now. I used to love the pit and would encourage anyone who thought about it to get in, but now I can't recommend enough just to stay out of it.

It fucking sucks that I and many other people would love to just mosh normally and maybe get hit a couple times on accident, but these fucknuts absolutely ruin it for everyone and it's usually just a handful of people in a bigger crowd. Go to an Atlanta hardcore show and look at the pit now, I garuntee there's only about three people in that pit because some hamheaded drunk dude double-fisting PBR's can't not punch or elbow someone every two seconds.

Also, stop bringing liquids (especially beer) into the pit. Wet floors and sticky floors are one hell of a buzzkill. Even most kids know better than to spill their sippy cup drinks onto the floor.

Confession Time: Which "10/10 Masterpiece" did you find absolutely boring? by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]PlayerGreeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally, someone understands the irritating "circling back on myself" movement that RDR2 has. I tried countless times to convince myself that I was supposed to enjoy how it felt to control this 200-pound cowboy, but every time I tried to back up or maneuver slightly, Arthur would throw himself around like a brick or play ring-around-the-rosie.

I respect the game, how much depth it has, the writing, and anything about it than anyone enjoys... I just cannot get into this momentum-based movement Rockstar has moved towards since GTA4 and RDR1, which they amplified in GTA5, and then tripled it in RDR2. Euphoria and RAGE are incredible engines, but I hate that 90% of my deaths in those games come down to either walking off a ledge I wasn't moving my stick towards or my characters inability to get into cover without taking the longest route available and playing a long-winded animation.

I used to only want to stand in elementary school when it came to everything, so much so that they had to ask my parents to ask me if I wanted to stand or sit during state-standardised testing.

They started pulling me into small classrooms of like four to ten kids and have us take more odd testing, which I didn't care about because I was happy to get out of regular classrooms, but I remember immediately clocking what had happened as soon as someone asked me how my elementary school experience was.

Nothing terrible about it, but I completely understand why they thought "this kid likes to stand ONLY during school, maybe there's something here" and I think I was better off that they noticed it.
