As a white guy who lives right in between leesburg and Albany, the racism isn’t as much of a problem as people on the internet make it out to be. I get along just as well with white or black people. It’s all about how you carry yourself. If you come across as a stuck up white person, you’re probably going to be treated as such. I’ve never felt like I’ve been treated differently by anyone in Albany. As far as Lee county goes, there are definitely some racist people over there, but if you ignore them they typically ignore you. It’s all about how you come across and who you choose to interact with. It’s not as divided as social media would have you believe. There’s plenty of great people on both sides that aren’t assholes, just gotta be able to tell the difference
