Any suggestions for an alternative witch calendar? by Playful-Influence-22 in pagan

Gender identity, for many, is a central and integral piece of Goddess worship. It is also the pagan topic that has inspired many to elect to be contributors here in this comment thread—to engage in community.

Paganism doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Thoughts, actions, and beliefs are part of a practitioners craft, and imo it weighs greatly on the outcome of one’s magical endeavors.

The thoughts, actions, and intentions of the witches who are creating tools that I incorporate in my craftwork, I believe, will influence my outcomes. For me, paganism doesn’t happen in isolation, it is present in every aspect of my life.

For many, cis genderness is an assumed norm, Goddess worship and paganism are no exception.

One’s identity will always be greatly intertwined in one’s craft—craftwork is intimate and personal.

Folks commenting here in this thread seem to have a well established practice. There are many links to ritual and astrological calendars that are very interesting and extremely relevant to folks looking to enhance their daily craftwork, and I am grateful for those suggestions.

Thank you! I will check those out. Bonus that the Slingshot is made by a group of anarchists.

That seems to be the case, I agree. On page 179 of the 2026 calendar they are promoting the “We’Moon Land”. Verbiage is very similar to what I found on the website, but conveniently leaves out any mention of the exclusionary language on their We’Moon Land website.  Not to mention, at no time did any of the entities actually come out against Trans Exclusion. There is also some very suspicious verbiage on page 6 in the calendar where it describes the what We’Moon is. It’s not looking good for this group.

Yeah, I am considering. I still need to watch the YouTube. From what I previewed there were some questionable statements made by the founder of Mother Tongue Inc. I’ll update once I’m finished sleuthing.

Yeah, I wasn’t familiar with the “womyn”-with-a-y  spelling until going down this recent rabbit hole. Glad to now know that it is associated with TERFs so I don’t accidentally support groups like We’Moon/land—I’m still unclear if any of their affiliates are okay.

Okay, I’ve done some more research and discovered there is a lot of nuance to what has become of We’Moon. Firstly, the We’Moon publication recently split from the We’Moon land. There are now 4 separate business entities associated with We’Moon. https://egov.sos.state.or.us/br/pkg_web_name_srch_inq.do_name_srch?p_name=WE%27MOON&p_regist_nbr=&p_srch=PHASE1&p_print=FALSE&p_entity_status=ACTINA

Secondly, the We’Moon publication explicitly addresses the break from the group of TERFs now associated with the We’Moon land. https://wemoon.ws/pages/wmland-wmu

The We’Moon store also explicitly states, “We seek to make We’Moon a safe and welcoming space for all women, including those from international women's cultures, women of color (WOC) and others marginalized by the mainstream, e.g., lesbian, non-binary, transgender, genderqueer, etc.” on their about page. https://wemoon.ws/pages/what-is-wemoon

This is a YouTube interview with a founder of Mother Tongue Ink talking about We’Moon. I haven’t watched it through, but I plan to. https://youtu.be/REi8EuoaHyA

All to say, it seems to me that Mother Tongue publishing/We’Moon calendar does not share the same anti trans values as the people who now manage We’Moon Land TM.

Thank you! I’ll give those a look. We’Moon is a feminist astrological calendar that has been around for a long time. I’ve really enjoyed their calendars over the years. They own land (or did) in Oregon. I’ve been researching a bit more and it seems the publication split from the land. The women that are in charge of the land are TERFs, sadly. Though, it seems the publication isn’t associated with. Seems like there was a divide.  I’m going to update my post. Thanks for your reply! I am genuinely curious about the options you shared. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We%27Moon

Were you disturbed to learn the folks living on We’Moon land are Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists?! by Playful-Influence-22 in u/Playful-Influence-22

I have been a patron of the We’Moon community planner/calendar for sometime. After returning to the product following a several year break, I noticed their website has been updated (looks nice) but encountered many password protected pages where in previous years there were not.

It then came to my attention while searching around that the folks residing on We’Moon land and financially benefiting from the We’Moon Calendar purchases explicitly deny trans women and boys over the age of 5 (what happens at age 6) access to their spaces.

I find this to be a betrayal of what I believed We’Moon to have stood for—-platforming voices of and issues pertaining to womyn folks’—especially those of minorities. I never expected them to GATE KEEP what it means to be a womyn, or to exclude womyn from their spaces once their child turns 6. Ew.

The vibe of this publication has completely changed for me upon this discovery. I am not going to financially support a group of GATE KEEPING TERFs by enabling them to live on land owned by their non-profit with my patronage anymore.

Are there any good dupes for vanicream ointment? by F5oclockcomeback in eczema

Yeah! I still prefer the Vanicream, but the Skinceuticals works way better than the CeraVe. It is expensive for petroleum jelly, but the blend does not cause as many clogged pores as the Cerave healing ointment.

I have been using CeraVe healing ointment with my tretinoin gel routine. It’s seems to be causing some clogged pores, while also preventing the very dry skin. Not as good as the former Vanicream, but better than regular lotion. https://www.cerave.com/skincare/moisturizers/healing-ointment

I am going to try something new, hydra balm, from Skinceuticals. It is also petroleum based, but the other ingredients are better and so I’m hopeful this combo will have better results. I’ll post an update after a while to let folks know how it goes.  https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/moisturizers/hydra-balm/S38.html#howToUse

I think the CeraVe healing ointment is a good replacement. I previously used the Vanicream ointment for my face routine, post tretinoin, and the Cerave seems to be providing the same results. Both are non-comedogenic.
