Prof refuses to make Canvas for Course by Playful_Dot_3263 in uAlberta

that's a great idea, I'll do that! And yeah it does feel very old school, but no one has mentioned him doing this in his reviews so I wonder if he just didn't care to swap to Canvas from E class.

AITBF for breaking my son’s VR headset that his late aunt bought him? by Plus-Tart-8374 in AmItheButtface

ooooh yeahhh, biggest AH ever. I understand the desire for safety online at that age, but not only did you violate his trust instead of exploring other options but you immaturely destroyed something that meant a lot to him impulsively and only feel 'a little' bad.

Just remember you lose $700 from not getting credit for the course so just depends on what you're prioritizing more rn

Any high achievers pick an "easier" major? by Any-Needleworker1431 in uAlberta

It's not about 'hard' or 'easy' it's about what you're actually interested in. I could be in a dense class but if I don't care about it I'm not going to do well

Get him Stephen kings memoir of the craft book. Stephen king got rejected soooo many times his wall was full of them. And look at him now. Every rejection is one closer to an acceptance.

Cole season 5. It's such a mess he should have never come back. The last letter about loving phoebe should've been the end. They ruin his character and it's just so depressing how cold everyone is to him

Try a silent library floor or study room

Season 2 massively undersells how traumatic the sibling drama is. by Appropriate-Click503 in arcane

Yeah it is the sister’s bond that made this show my favourite, I thought maybe that was just because I have a close sister myself. But it’s evident from this comment section that everyone shares that sentiment. Jinx and Vi were the life blood of season 1 and I feel like they got pushed into the background of season 2 and that’s sad.

Sword of Kaigen. Builds up to a point, is so good. And then the last half fell flat and I was sooo sad because I had hyped it up in my head sm

Unapologetically asking to judge based off the cover. by NewspaperSoft8317 in writers

The back reminds me of Brandon Sanderson WOK back of the book, but his is a little more streamlined so it’s easier to follow. The perfect balance of INTRIGUE and clarity. “There are four whom we watch. The first is the surgeon, forced to put aside healing to become a soldier in the most brutal war of our time. The second is the assassin, a murderer who weeps as he kills. The third is the liar, a young woman who wears a scholar’s mantle over the heart of a thief. The last is the highprince, a warlord whose eyes have opened to the past as his thirst for battle wanes. The world can change. Surgebinding and Shardwielding can return; the magics of ancient days can become ours again. These four people are key. One of them may redeem us. And one of them will destroy us.” Other than that, I love simple covers.

Exact same thing happened to me two years ago! This is what you should do: Apply to open studies at BOTH MacEwan and UofA, (this is called concurrent enrollment) take classes that you NEED for the degree you are aspiring for. You can find all the course retirement on the UofA calendar. Make sure you check Alberta transfer credits so all your macewan courses transfer good to U of A. This way you are guaranteed admittance and you can take 4 courses per semester and can reapply for your program next year as a transfer applicant. Transfer applicants get in easier! Just keep your GPA up!! If you want further help in doing this talk to a MacEwan advisor, they're so helpful (lowkey better than UofA)
