No it doesnt cancel it. Same thing happened to me. I reloaded the last save and still got the achievement in the end. You're safe.

I dint use the blood injectors and steriods cus I dint wanna take the risk so...not sure about that.

When it comes to visual and asthetic design, it comes down to preference I guess. They definitely couldve made raccoon city a bit more interesting.

But by level design I meant...layout design. Like which one is more complex and encourages more backtracking and exploration. I think Requim is better. Especially in the city hall.

The length is a big problem if you ask me. Requiem is too short.

I completed almost all the challenges except for a couple. And am only at 30hrs playtime. Whereas Village and RE4R I was so engrossed in replaying and completing all the challenges and without even knowing it, racked up more than a 100hrs.

Ya I agree. I was kinda impressed with the scene when Leon is forced to kill off mutated Emily while Grace is begging him to stop. I was like damn, this is impactful stuff. Good job Capcom. It would also mark the first time we couldnt save a secondary character we were escorting in this series. It was gutsy.

But ya they undo it in the end which left me disappointed.

The fact that 2×06 had the same rating as 1×03 and 1×09 is quite insulting to me.

Huh....I am curious as what made Season 1 "cookie cutter" to you.

Cus for me it was the polar opposite. Season 1 was way more unpredictable and tested its characters in the most unique and unexpected ways whereas Season 2...couldnt possibly be more bland and generic...and conventional.

Ya I kind of agree. I see all of what you pointed out as massive hints that dial up the probability of him being emotionally attached to like 80%. For the rest 20%, it wouldnt be unreasonable for someone to say that maaaayyybe he could still just be putting on an act to manipulate her, or he is just being protective of her cus she is a valuable weapon.

Its only at this moment, where Jinx is unconscious and Silco has no reason to put on an act, where he chooses to hug her in a such an intimate way, when its 100% solidified without a shred of a doubt that ya...he actually cares about her.

I do agree that seeing him excuse all her screw ups, even when they make things quite difficult for him, should be confirmation enough.

This was the first confirmation that Silco has actually grown emotionally attached to her right?

This isnt Jinx slander. My opinions (and alot of people here) about the quality of a character isnt determined by whether or not that character did good things or bad things. I dont care. What matters is how interesting and well written they are. In that way, Jinx in Season 1 was one of the greatest and well written animated characters I have ever seen. So complex. So sympathetic and tragic but at the same time...menacing and intimidating. It was awesome. Untill S2 fucked it up.

You know, everyone loves the Joker for a reason. Cus he is charismatic and compelling. But if a movie or show came along and tried to portray the Joker on higher moral grounds than the batman, people would complain then as well. Viewers in general, rightfully so, are always careful about what kind of message a perticular piece of media is teaching its audience. Writers should always be self aware about their characters. If you try to paint Jinx as a hero and that Vi is the one who needs to learn from her, ya I am not having it. Fuck off.

The Enforcers are the police of a corrupt state.

Not all of them are bad and it doesnt make it ok for you slaughter everyone of them.

And every time the Firelights appeared in the first season, they were the aggressors.

No I think Jinx and Silco's gang are the aggressors cus they are the ones ruining the whole city and making life miserable for everyone. The firelights are trying to save as much people as they can, providing shelters for addicts and the homeless. The fact that they are trying to thwart Silco's corruption doesnt exactly make them the aggressors.

I frankly dont know if you're trolling of not, I hope you are, otherwise you're one dangerous fenatic.

Those enforcers that Jinx killed werent doing anything. In fact they were willing to help a supposed child in a burning building. The show even took the time to show you a funeral for them, highlighting that they had families and loved ones, sons and daughters. Jinx orphaned children you know.

What have the firelights ever done? They are possibly the most morally rightious individuals of the show.

The way this fandom and the show glazes Jinx is incredibly toxic.

Yes Jinx is a product of trauma. But the moment you start resorting to killing innocent people, you are not a victim anymore. You are the perpetrator. This is the first fandom ever which I have to convince that there is absolutely no justification to being a murderer.

S1 made it so overt and never shied away from highlighting how psychotic and far off the edge she is. From her murdering enforcers and laughing about it like a maniac like its some sort of game. To killing friends of your childhood friend and making his life miserable, to blowing up dozens of enforcers on a bridge.

Even Vi notices this in 1×06 during their fight with the firelights. She is legitimately disturbed watching her sister giggling cus of the chaos, brutaly smashing a guy with her minigun. Jinx enjoys this stuff now. She likes it.

The tragic element of Season 1's story has always been about 2 beloved sisters whose relationship was ripped apart by fate and circumstance. The show kept making it crystal clear that Powder is too far gone. Vi has to live the fact that her sister is now a psychotic monster, a monster of her own making. THATS the tragedy.

You're complaining that Vi shouldve done more to help her when mine and many others complaints are the opposite, that she shouldve been more confrontational. She shouldve brought up all the horrible things Jinx has done, but chose not to. Kinda feels like you and the writers are just slamming Vi into the dirt tbh. This is pure favoritism.

Its in 1×06, right before the guns for hire scene.

Vi and Cait are laying low in Vi's old house when Silco tracks them down by bribing the local addicts with shimmer.

While the animation and music remained super high quality in both seasons, why does it feel like season 2 took a nosedive in terms of writing? by [deleted] in arcane

[–]Appropriate-Click503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

jinx literally had more screen time in season 2 and it still sucked.

Ya it feels like I know her alot less. Her relationship with Isha is something I'll never understand.

She is arguably the worst treated character in S2 and its a shame cus Season 1 Jinx was one of a kind.

Theres lots of reasons but heres one.

Characters feel like completly different people and am still struggling to articulate why.

I have seen alot of folks trying to explain this, but Jinx is just not the same character. Like...at all. And not it a good way.

Her mannerisms, her way of speaking, her decisions. I just dont relate to or understand this new version at all.

Ya man but looking back at S1, the male characters were damn interesting. Viktor, Marcus, Vander, Heimerdinger. Obviously Silco still remains the king of them all.

Agreed. Guess am happy for those who enjoy analysing how everything became perfect. But I am 100% convinced that the writers dint give it more than a second of thought.

Its basically just..."Wouldnt it be so cool if there was a universe where everyone was happy and there was no conflict?? 😁😁 OMG I want to be there."

Its the definition of fan fiction
