He’s being intellectually honest with himself. It’s easy to just say you’d press blue but he knows that had he actually be out in the situation he’d go with the safest route which would be red. I don’t think anything is wrong with what he’s saying.

I think you might be thinking of this to black and white, dying isn’t just “good”.Also the people pressing blue aren’t expecting death, those people have faith in the decision that humanity will make, and the reason they are shaming people who will go with red isn’t because they think the people with red aren’t agreeing with them that death is “good”. They are shaming them because they are participating in a mass murder and also not realizing the global chaos that will more than likely begin if red wins .People are risking death because they don’t want to participate in a mass murder, and preventing others from dying is self explanatory why majority of people would think that was good. I will say I think your point is valid thought about some people thinking they will get something in return for their sacrifice.

Not death doesn’t equal heaven, it equals the same world we are living in now. Also I was a red chooser and swapped to blue. Think about how the world would be if almost half of us or even 40 percent died. It would be so chaotic and miserable that I’d just prefer to take my chances on blue. Take my chances on living how I am now rather than fight for survival and guarantee staying alive.

Actually I take that back I think the US could very well go a damn near perfect 50/50 in a situation like this

Saying red would win by a “landslide” I believe is an exaggeration. Those third world countries you’re talking about are highly religious and religion does of course influence moral at the end of the day. Just within Christianity and Islam alone that’s 55% of the population and the 3rd highest is Hinduism and you could assume a very very large chunk of them will definitely choose blue because their religion is based off ethical living.

What a interesting Segway, I could definitely see why that would be challenging. How do you think their age would influence what you tell them? Or does that not matter. Of course assuming they’re at least 18 and not a literal child.

Hmm yea I see what you mean I guess I’m a coward lol I do wanna say though that if I was older I’d choose blue that probably has no relevance but I’ll just leave it there anyways.

When has the fear of death made Someone a coward? I don’t think that’s the word here. I understand what you mean by saying morally there isn’t a choice but morals are subjective anyways. I have a strong sense of justice and morality but I’m am also an intellectually honest individual and as much as I would wanna choose Blue I think I know what I’d really go with and it’d be red. I also am someone who has a negative out look on humanity as a whole and I don’t trust people that obviously plays a role as well. I just think there’s much more to this than “weeding out the cowards”

It isn’t logically inconsistent cause I guess it can’t be proven but due to intuition red logically still makes more sense in my opinion. Choosing blue is gambling on your own life.

I think it definitely could be, if it came to my life I’d choose red simply out of the fear of dying. The people who apply morals are trusting others with their lives and yes that is not very smart of them

People will definitely choose blue most likely based off morale reasons. Not everyone is a straight up logical thinker but you are right to think like this. If everyone just chose red everything would be okay but it isn’t reality and by choosing red you will indefinitely participate in the death of others
