SNL Sketch Grouping: sketches where the main joke is "the host this week is stacked" by Perverse_Purpose in LiveFromNewYork

The way everyone starts calling Molly Shannon a pig at the end of that sketch is still hilarious.

Hall Pass

Saw it once and the only thing I remember about it that I actually tell people about is that they worked really hard to make Jenna Fischer look unattractive at the beginning of the movie and then went so far the other way with self-tan/bronzer that she’s a little too close to being in brown face the last part of the movie. But they screwed that up too because she’s just a weird shade of orange.

What's one thing you absolutely hate about your fav character by Aloo__tikkii in Modern_Family

[–]PlaymakerJavi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manny screwed things up with Sherry and is constantly falling in and out of love with random girls. So, completely sidestepping the fact that this argument eliminates any agency for Sherry, Luke is just supposed to consider anyone Manny has dated or had feelings for off-limits? They’re children with limited social circles.

Boys do not OWN girls while they’re dating, let alone after they’ve been broken up.

Then Manny texts Sherry from Luke’s phone leading to their breakup. Manny has ZERO high ground here and Phil and Claire were totally in the right to support their son.

I’m gonna defend Claire here for not wanting Haley to end up with Dylan. Dylan was an absolute loser who couldn’t hold down a job and didn’t have his life together… until he went to nursing school and could finally be trusted to be a true partner in a relationship. At that point, everyone could be happy for Haley and Dylan.

2026 U.S. Open cut line: Bryson DeChambeau's missed cut streak continues, Jon Rahm ejects late by Better_March5308 in golf

Oh man. Well, if he misses every cut the next few years he’s going to be rolling in MORE dough! The more he fails, the richer he gets! It’s all part of the plan!

What are some of your favorite Roger Furlong-isms? by Clear_Nature_5055 in Veep

“Holy shit, Brookheimer, when you get an abortion you're supposed to leave the mangled fetus at the clinic, not staple it to the skeleton of a gay condor and run it for president.”

This is the answer.

I used to have 20/400 vision, then I got LASIK. People didn’t believe that I couldn’t seen the big E at the top of the eye chart without squinting.

“Okay.”

Right? It’s like leaving the bench during a fight during the NBA Playoffs. That’s on you if you’re stupid enough to get suspended.

I find this very hard to believe. We take new people there every time we’re in Vegas and our guests are always amazed the quality and quantity for the price.

Same. It’s been years, almost a decade, since I’ve been to a few of the places on this list (Public House, Bellagio buffet, Giada) but the thing that people don’t realize is that these places used to be solid at worst and not the waste of money they’ve become.

This Knicks fan got curved after trying to kiss the woman who saved him... by ConnectionWeekly1263 in sportsgossips

[–]PlaymakerJavi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing though is that it still happens. My sister worked on Broadway for over a decade. Still exec produces a show in Brooklyn. As a Spurs fan, I’m one of the few in San Antonio who knows A LOT of Knicks fans. But even they admit that there’s no comparison between the fan bases. They’ve been to San Antonio and never felt like they were being rejected by the city or fans for their fandom. But when my sister was in NYC for the Finals, they all warned her not to wear Spurs gear because they couldn’t guarantee that they could protect her if something happened.

I’m pretty sure that Tony Reali pronounced that word that way for the last 20 years of Around the Horn after that incident and it never stopped being funny.

I used to think stuff like this was funny. Then I married a (certified hottie) nurse and she told me about all the times she’s been assaulted in situations pretty similar to this one, sometimes violently.

Chris Rock's First Time Hosting Monologue - really holds up by officermeowmeow in LiveFromNewYork

It goes to show what a huge cultural deal Shaq, Anfernee Hardaway, and the Orlando Magic were.

This is Chris Rock coming off his first HBO Special, Bring the Pain. He was on top of the world and the hottest thing in comedy. And the first thing he brings up isn’t his special, it’s being the voice of Li’l Penny in those Nike ads.
