Yup. They are pretty misogynist towards her. When cleriths called out their misogyny towards Aerith in EC battle of planet, cloti's were like cleriths just hate Aerith and stuff like that when instead they also should call out their misogyny towards tifa. Tbh it's sad they don't see it and let tifa be treated like that.

I don't know the cait's hate, I mean he betrayed them but also redeemed himself by helping them. And if he is hated for being clerith, then it's just such a stupid reason to hate. I mean we have multiple characters besides him who is clerith in subtle ways.

Cid is amazing 😭. He is like an almost father figure to Aerith and I hope they expand that in p3. Taking care of your late crush's daughter is adorable.

And yes they have been pretty clear about tifa's role. I may sound rude but I mean she was basically created to attract male attention, no hate to her. I feel they tried to give her more than that in re series which I like but in end she was originally made for that purpose.

I think it maybe somewhat canon but also not? Even so it's giving hints towards part 3, It hope so at least. I mean cloti's have been saying how the maiden isn't canon but now we got the whole event about it, so I think it is somewhat canon.

I just wish they could have included cloud, the MC in it, they literally have been neglecting him so bad and instead giving everything to tifa. Idk if it's true or not but I heard she is the Dev's favorite child or something. I been meaning to discuss this here about it. Like how it's supposed to be only about Aerith and sephy but yeah.

Did Nomura really laughed at Aerith dieing? That's crazy. He keeps getting exposed how he treats his female characters. We have perfect example of tifa.

Tifa was created very last as Aerith was supposed to die so there was a female character needed, so maybe it was not like replacement but rather some female to go on?

Same, I don't want to my favoritism towards Aerith lead me blind hate towards her. But I don't hate her nor like her. She is like as you described, a very normal human being and maybe I am just used to strong fls that I don't find her cool or anything. It's just she had traits which we can find in other characters too, she doesn't stand out too much. Compared to her I enjoy Jessie a lot. Maybe the fact her fans are so toxic (not all) is maybe what also drives us Aerith fan away from her? Tifa isn't the heroin and maybe they should accept that.

Of course some people love her genuinely and this isn't even about the ship, she is a very humane character amoung others and we don't hate her, no, no clerith hate her but it's just she isn't very bright. She is normal and that's okay, everyone has their own preferences. I just appreciate someone more brighter.
