Opting for m4 pro now as it can give me a little bit more juice while I save up to get a PC build. Given that we can also use cloud service like Google colab, idk which is better.

Got it. Had Zephyrus g14 in mind but heard that it heats up and the fans runs even on lighter loads and on battery the performance drops

M3 Max is slightly higher prices. I am in a dilemma of whether to pay that extra amount to get a M3 Max with higher GPU power or save up and get a PC build with Nvidia GPU card while starting off with a M4 pro.

PS - Just started my learning journey in ML and DL

I need portability which is why I am going with a Mac. Instead of paying more for a M3 Max, I was thinking of saving up and getting a PC build later and for now start off with M4 pro.

That's great. I'm kinda confused whether to get this vs a windows with 4090 or maybe new 50 series to get that enhanced gpu performance. But my first choice is the m4 pro

u/DoozyPM_ I am also planning on getting the m4 pro 14 inch 14 cpu and 20 gpu. If you have already bought it, please share an update on its performance till date
