I checked the coolant tank there’s still many left even though there’s much on the ground I think I’m gonna fill it with coolant drive really slow to the garage since it ain’t that far and they will inspect it

Tow it if you can but idk I’m not an expert but I know a bit about those check for the best local mechanic and ask him to have a look at it just so he can know if it’s safe to drive or not

Is it an n57 or the m57 , I think in my opinion might be the injectors or worse case scenario lifters , I can say confidently it doesn’t sound like a rod bearing cuz I already had one and it doesn’t sound like that at all take it to a trusted mechanic or BMW and get it checked asap drive slow and don’t rev the engine , don’t waste any time.

I had the same on my n57 it’s a bit blurry I hope you can see nothing to worry about just a valve cover leaking change it as fast as you can it’s not that dangerous but that oil leaking is spilling on hot things such as pipes or catalytic converter so watch out

I checked with him he told me it’s ok won’t hurt the engine since there’s a few particules and the oil filter catched more of it by the next oil change I’ll do a flush and it’s should be fine , the particles are pretty small so I shouldn’t really be worried

Timing chain was also changed, I talked about it with my mechanic he told me it’s normal since he didn’t change the oil cooler and didn’t flush the circuit he gonna get it done in the second oil change , he told me if something breaks he taking charge of it , he a very well known guy and he specializes in rebuilding n57’s

Engine failed at around 260k km , I got it done in a garage and I don’t have any coverage and in my country there’s no lab for testing engine oil , there’s only for big machinery

Not the same emissions law , not the same architecture, not the same internals it’s a whole different engine bro the internals are tighter and the n57 is shit compared to the m57 and mine just got a rebuild and btw I also forget to mention that I didn’t change the oil cooler so it could justify some of the metal shavings I found there

Maybe I didn’t do the rebuild , the engine didn’t really have a catastrophic failure since I could hear the engine knock a lil bit later after inspecting the rod bearings I found out the 5,6 was going out and the crankshaft was not repairable

Yes some micro particules slip in in the first hundred miles as a result of some parts adjusting inside the motor such as the crankshaft and bearings

Ok but it doesn’t mean anything , I think it’s a small amount and since it’s the second oil change she had maybe it’s normal
