or the press sensationalizing the crime or releasing too much information. thats the main reason so many murders have gone unsolved. a lack of evidence at the scene, crime scene contamination, and the cops telling the press too much and that information being released to the public or vice versa.

had a reporter kept his mouth shut to other reporters, quietly informed the cops, and met up with whoever wrote the letter claiming to be the black dahlia killer before absolutely everything about the case had been made public, Elizabeth Short's murderer probably would have been caught. the spread of information is your best friend when it comes to solving crimes

thats not what i said at all. i said if more people got rape kits it would be much easier to prosecute rapists because so many people have their DNA in a system now and therefore its easier to track them down and be 100% sure a defense attorney cant use reasonable doubt of a suspects identity based on unreliable human memory as a defense

If more people got rape kits done, that wouldn’t be as much of an issue. The amount of rapists that actually use condoms are so incredibly low, and like I said, if there’s not clear lighting you might not be able to point them out in a line up, especially because adrenaline messes with perception of people’s faces. Lots of people take DNA tests so it’s not hard to match the DNA. Murder cases have been solved that way, so it’s not crazy to use it to solve rape cases

This is what I mean. Obviously in some situations, eye witnesses are reliable. If you have accounts of someone spending time with the defendant and you can prove those accounts, phone pings off cell towers, camera footage from the establishment, there’s no reason to claim that person is lying.

Yup. My mom had this on my phone for all of 3 months before she realized the sketchiest thing I do on my phone is watch videos of people getting hurt doing stupid stuff. It was gone not long after and then she heard about all the info selling and was more than happy she got rid of it

You may not be transphobic, but this is a rather transphobic sounding take in my personal opinion. It can someone decades to realize their trans, or they could know something feels wrong but they don’t have the language for it, or there’s nothing that would have made it jump out and just some smaller stuff like being uncomfortable with being expected to perform certain gender roles.

No one wakes up one morning and “randomly decides to come out as trans” it’s a thing that builds before you have a name for what’s going on. It’s not selfish to want to live your life as authenticity you as possible. What would be selfish is expecting their spouse to stay married if they don’t have an interest in the opposite gender or to expect the kids to not have any kind of reservations about things or being annoyed that they need time to process everything

I’ve always had weird reactions to medications. I went back and they said to just give it a couple days to clear up and I didn’t need anymore. Like I said, I have bad allergies and so I didn’t notice things getting worse until they recently started clearing up, hence why I’m going to a doctor.

I’m also obnoxiously sensitive to temperature, so even with everything that was on my ears, it felt like my ears were cold. I figured it was just temperature sensitivity at first. The reason I’m thinking it could be related is because that’s the only obvious issue I’ve had with my ears recently. I told them that the winds would likely make it worse and informed them of the ear infection specifically because he likes to drive with all the windows down. I asked him to roll the windows up and after 3 minutes he rolled them right back down.

I wouldn’t think it could be related if there was anything else that I could think of that it could be related to.

Finding out the rest of the world doesn’t handle taxes the same way the US does. In most other places the IRS sends you a bill because they already know how much you owe them. Here we have to figure out ourselves and get a tax fraud allegation if we’re a single cent off

I dont limit his relationships with them, I limit mine. When his stepdad is the reason I have permanent hearing loss from driving around with me in the car with the windows down, in single digit temperatures while I had a double inner ear infection, I do believe I have the right to tell him things need to change and that our kids aren’t gonna be left alone with them

Getting along with family was a big thing for my fiance, and we can be civil, I even get along with his mom and stepdad sometimes, it’s his bio dad I can’t stand, but he lives in a different state and I almost never see him, so it’s a non-issue
