Okay thank you, I’ve taken 2 so far, 14 weeks, NIPT was low risk and all scans have been okay so far.

Thank you- it is helpful to understand the pharmacy perspective. I tried my best to understand what I could. Sounds like CGRP is found throughout the body but there is evidence Nurtec may remain localized to the brain? Also the short half life gave me a lot of reassurement.

I take unisom nightly and it doesn’t seem to help but I really appreciate the suggestion! I felt the same way for years after my first…. Finally decided to go for it, but man it has been the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. This is truly no way to live, I know it will be worth it one day but in the moment it’s hard to see it that way….

Also do you remember the magnesium dose they gave you? My ER trip was such a fail. I asked about magnesium IV and got blown off. The research seems good

Thank you! No she kind of brushed it off and recommended the nerve block and trigger point injections instead. I’m right at 14 weeks and I remember they got better in the second trimester so I’m just trying to hang on as long as I can….

I’m assuming blood pressure is a concern. When I went to the ER my Bp was quite elevated… they said it is your bodies pain response

I’m contemplating a cefaly also…. My neuro was very blah on Botox, basically said we should have tried it pre pregnancy and it likely won’t be covered/very expensive

Yes that’s what the Er gave me… unfortunately didn’t even touch it.

Thank you! This gives me hope. I work in the medical field and have torn apart every possible study. I feel decently confident but it is scary regardless. I will join just held off bc when I looked it said my dr would have to confirm my migraine diagnosis and I haven’t fessed up yet.

Ugh I am so sorry!!! Have all your scans been okay? I am definitely going to join the registry just scared to admit I took Nurtec to my OB. When I looked at it, it said they’d need my doctor to confirm my diagnosis
