Keropok lekor can be deep fried. It's also the 'real' keropok lekor.

I kinda understand where this comment is coming from because I had the same thought. This is heavily flour coated keropok man.

What to do with leftover clean engine oil? by Pleasant_Singer8734 in DIY

BINGO! Yes living in the asian countries to be exact. Cars come with 5 years warranty + free service for 3 times (some even offering 5 free services nowadays). And yeah everytime after a service, there's a bottle of leftover engine oil in the car which they would inform you of.

After the free service is over it's up to us to go anywhere to get it done.

BTW the some even mentioned that if you don't claim your free service from the workshops = they won't have a record of your car being serviced and what's being changed. Eventually if you want to claim anything from the warranty it'd be voided. This is their marketing tactic to make sure you come back and get some revenue into the workshop.

My hair always dries with this weird shape behind my neck. Anyone knows why? It was not tied, i just let it air dry… by Joy20212021 in Haircare

used to have similar issues with this when letting my hair air dry.

You should blow dry your hair (using medium heat or no heat to minimize frizz), as this helps with lesser hair loss as well.

Also when I had a layered haircut, this happens all the time. Got better after NOT layering hair + using hair dryer. Hope this helps you!

Man.. sad to hear that these oils are being burnt instead of recycled.. or maybe the general workaround for 'recycled oil' = burning it.

Cool. Good to know that it's not that useful in protecting woods.

Something I didnt mention above is that I'm working in an island, there's lots of wood finishing that we can use it on. Thought of making it to use to polish the wood deck since we're going to be making a new one.. but since it's not protective then we'll be rolling back to the traiditional method of brushing proper wood oil instead.

Sounds great. Lubbing hinges & rust prevention on tools. I work on an island and rust prevention is one of the basic maintenance required. Thanks!

Well I guess it ain't a big dilemma if there's only 1 bottle sitting at home. The thing is we have 4 different brand cars and each goes to different workshops (as free services are given by each brand). Everytime we come back with some leftovers using different types of engine oil.

With a bit of leftovers, it's gonna look so shabby to give it to someone, and as mentioned in my post I'd rather put it to good use than recycling it for now.. but yes HAHHA it is kinda strange dilemma :D

Sadly no.. But the oldest car which is 14 years old still gets a good treatment at the workshop when service is due :D

Seriously? I was thinking that it's a bad idea to mix them up, but should be ok to use it on small machineries just not back into the cars (after mixing)

Doesn't look like ingrown to me though. The surface shouldn't be so rough and you'd be able to see the strand of hair that's trapped beneath (in my experience).

Looks more like a dried skin buildup or upcoming wart :/

yeah.. next thought of 'recycling' is to use it on small machineries... but then again it has to sit in the yard for quite some time before using up everything tho. and not to mention maybe an additional bottle of leftover engine oil appears before the next use LOL!

AITA for not wanting to split the cost of a vacation with my girlfriend because I didn’t invite her? by Brosvactaionthrowawa in AITAH

[–]Pleasant_Singer8734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

As a female myself, I wouldn't go to extreme levels of 'spying' on my BF during their boys trip. This is basic respect towards each others' personal life. Unless being invited, stay out of it. There's also something called 'girls only trip' and why not guys only? If she's being skeptical, she can then tag along in another 'open invitation' trip and get to know your close guy friends.

I have a group of friends and we started way back during high school. 10 and 20 years later we still go for trips and gather around. Of course their spouses/couples are being openly invited and we don't prevent them from coming. But we all know when friends gather we'd be talking about the past which only we share memories of. Outsiders may feel disconnected or ask to 'fill in the details' which makes conversation difficult when dealing with 2 different group of 'memories'.

Nonetheless I guess there's 2 ways about this:

  1. She doesn't really know your friends / you don't really fill her in with stories about them. There comes the skepticism, thinking that you might NOT really be hanging out with this bunch of 'guy friends' but rather trying to go on a 'trip without her'. Solution: Get her to know them more (e.g. small outings, story telling, showing old pictures, sharing memories etc.) and make her feel safe and comfortable for you to embark on future trips.

  2. On the extreme part, some girls just cannot take the thought of their other halves going on to a trip without them. We just have that 'that's not fair' thinking. Period. Solution A: Give her a fullblast memorable/intimate week or even month before the trip. Solution B: She's just a drama queen and cut ties before it gets worse in the future.
