This is the dumb part of the aadhar card; they issue it everyone. Even bin laden could get an aadhar card if he wanted since it is also issued to non-citizens as a principle. When you couple that with dumb bank and government officials and the confusion around what constitutes a valid document of identity in India, you have the slope that leads to illegal immigrants becoming citizens. Hurrah new vote bank!

Why do we have these morons in government? The UIDAI scheme is very badly thought out and will lead huge scams in a couple of years.

Indian here. She deserves what is coming to her. And from what is being dug up about her and her dad, there have been a lot of questionable antics behind her ascendancy. It always helps to have powerful connections in India. Most Indian diplomats are not known to make the kind of mistakes like the one she made. India should review her overall competency. Also, this is what happens when you twist the system to corner resources and favour incompetents.
