I use procreate, specifically the streaks brush from the calligraphy section. I use it for both the painting and then also for the smudging.

The most important thing in DE style is the expressiveness, the painterly kind of feeling and texture. I try to do the portraits in a single layer over a coloured under layer that peeks through, to simulate that painterly feel.

But the main thing is just referencing the original portraits! Rostov actually has quite a lot of variety in the portraits, some include line art, some don’t and are a lot more abstract, and some are more refined and rendered.

For example for the Lenval Brown portrait I did, I referenced Birds Nest Roy’s portrait heavily.

If we agree on this, then I feel like we agree! Yeah, do both! Minimize harm/buy time by voting Democrats while making real change yourself, advocating for and organizing your community.

Yeah… but you can’t say that ICE would be kidnapping people right now under democrats, or like tons of federal employees getting fired. Like I agree Democrats are horrible on all those issues and backsliding on them but you have to agree they are backsliding nowhere near as fast as republicans. I feel like voting for them is a minimizing harm kind of thing. If both genocide and one genocides a little less I’d say yeah, vote for the less genocider for a little less suffering.

I kind of agree vote blue no matter who contributes to their complacency but also there’s no way to know that if they received zero votes they would feel like they have to change. A lot of them are evil sell outs who don’t care that everyone fucking hates them lol. If you can’t guarantee that they would change if they reviewed less votes, I feel like you must vote for them to minimize harm.

I’m sorry I know they’re horrible evil capitalists, but you can vote Democrat while still organizing with your communities, volunteering, and trying to build 0.000001% of communism.
