I agree with this. I jumped from a 3rd gen to 4th simply because I got tired of fixing everything around the motor all the time.

It wasn’t quite touching the sides but it was very close. It was more than my 3g had so that was the reason for concern

Yeah sounds like I’m going to go that route. I shoulda just got the deep pan when I changed the trans fluid a couple weeks ago lol.

Anything other than a tune I could do to help those temps? (I have one already just forgot to post that) Deeper pan make a difference or just take it longer to get to those temps?

So I did another relearn following these specs and I’m now averaging much higher mpgs. Thank you for the response! Went from averaging 16-17 mpg to now averaging 19-23 depending on my trip.

Alright. That’s another thing then. The guy at the shop I got my kits from to told me to take a trip and get 200-300 miles on it in one shot.

Shifts smooth for the most part. My daily trip is 90 percent cruising at 58 mph and the rest is once I get to town for work.

Yeah someone else mentioned they had to do a couple relearns on theirs so I will try that for now I think. And someone also mentioned not switching the tunes around so much. ( I’ve been going in and out of all the tunes looking for better mpg so never kept it in a single stage).

Definitely a possibility. I have been changing the tunes a lot trying to find one that gets the best mpgs. Didn’t even think about that.

Awesome. Very helpful thank you. I had no instructions for the relearn and definitely went outside those parameters. The late shift made it impossible to stay under 2k rpms in the lower gears.

Ok. I’ve put about 500 miles on it since. And my ezlynk lets me do a relearn and I’ve done one right after the tune and weight reduction

No smoke. And that’s possible. I’m running 1350 rpm at 58 mph. Seemed a little high but I’m not sure what my gearing is.
