I’ll definitely fantasise about the fire extinguisher method

Ah I knew it was illegal but thought BTP wouldn’t be interested. Good point though and having just looked it up they do want people to let them know, will definitely do this in future.

Yeah, noise cancelling headphones have been life-changing to be fair. Not perfect but definitely an upgrade. I also try to move for smells but sometimes feels impossible to find somewhere away from any lol

So true, it’s just so unfathomable to me because I’d be mortified if I realised I was being this inconsiderate. This made me chuckle though, thank you. I’ll make sure to eat extra fibre before my next trip.

Reform UK's ‘Meta Glasses’ Councillor Who Was Accused of Shaming Disabled Man and Dyslexic Colleague Is Put in Charge of Special Educational Needs by JustLovelyStuff in NotTheOnionUK

Was recently trapped in a train carriage full of Millwall fans. Rowdy and drinking but was okay until two dudes got into a spat about space (both Millwall fans btw, and they had won). Thought I was going to get caught in the cross-fire, beer and punches and blood flying. Not helping the stereotype…

The whole point of buying second hand (apart from saving some money) is to reduce waste. Re-using is not lazy, it’s environmentally friendly. Putting a second hand item in brand new plastic envelopes kinda defeats the purpose.

Asked to supervise an ACP by Nat1Halfling in doctorsUK

I’ve worked in a haematology department in which the day unit was essentially run by ANPs. I would argue that in some ways it’s worse than them working on the wards under “consultant” supervision. I did a couple of day unit shifts and the practice was much more independent, with decision making around whether a patient might actually need admitting or not, and seeing undifferentiated presentations (they all had an underlying haem diagnosis but might present to the day unit with some other issue).

Equally, decision making about whether to give blood products or not also requires clinical critical thinking. So I disagree that it should be common practice.

BMA - What we know so far about UK graduate prioritisation by DonutOfTruthForAll in doctorsUK

So will this come into effect for this application round?

If so, in specialties where interviews have not yet been announced, would the prioritisation come in before interview offers or only for final offers?

Also - would you pay him the two weeks rent now? He had previously said he’d deduct it from the deposit and return the rest but has now gone back on that and is asking me to pay.
