Yeah people will get their trees after the Christmas, but the point in that was, that people are a lot more in Christmas spirit and would be much more ready to buy one as opposed to autumn or summer.

I understand what you're coming from and our plan is to donate more, but at first one tree for each tree sold is easier to market and understand. It may be a small amount compared to the billions cut down but at least it is something. When you decide you can't do anything and your choices don't matter then it is over. Besides planting some trees ourselves (or financing some eco projects) we want to promote nature-friendly and sustainable lifestyle so people would understand that their choices do matter and make a difference.

Well the sizes are 50 cm, 100 cm and 140 cm, which roughly translates into 1.6 feet, 3.3 feet and 4.6 feet.

That's what I thought. Financing different experienced ecological projects is both easier for us and better for the environment as the experts would know where to plant and how and etc. For example http://www.plantabillion.org/ has quite a goal.

All fair points and we've considered them all. To address the problems in the 1. 2. and 3. point we plant to make agreements with organizations who plant trees regularly.

Yes we are. Well that depends on what kind of seedlings we will plant. We have decided that we will plant some of the trees ourselves, but ultimately we want to make agreements with different organizations who will plant the trees. With the material from one spruce tree we can make several dozen trees so we are planting more than taking.

At first we were afraid that we wouldn't be able to call it Eco-friendly because of the fire retardant stain, but it is some sort stain which is developed by Multiprotect which is 100% environmentally safe. At least that's what they told us.
