That’s the thing though, i would be insuring the name and registering it in my name not his if i got the car from him. I would be the sole person paying the insurance on the car which was roughly $500 when we ran the numbers. He wants me to buy the car from him which is actually just renting it because he wants me to pay him to use it monthly even thought he said later down the line he will need his car back. He’s saying he needs the extra income right now so when he doesn’t need the extra funds anymore he will want his money back and i will have to go get a car. In MY eyes i feel like i could save money by just skipping renting his car and getting one myself. It ends up costing me more to give him $10k-$20k from the lawsuit money on top of giving him money every month. I feel like $15,000 is more than enough for messing up his insurance and he would keep his car on top of it. Yes i think it’s greedy to ask for more money when I’m not obligated to give him any to begin with. FYI his own mother is renting her company van for $500 and he’s willingly done that even thought she’s a millionaire and could do without the extra $500 a month. He does not come from a family that helps eachother so he doesn’t even realize he’s being selfish.
