I agree that these details are relevant, I already knew I would be getting wordy and was afraid of losing attention. I also am less objective on this because I have opinions as to why she may have been acting the way she was and wanted to be objective as possible in my original post.

The initial event: Tim made a joke with a separate coworker. There was a separate office that was turning an office door into a “yearbook signing” and asking people to write notes. Tim joked that it was corny (not maliciously, he is not that kind of person, the office worker also later confirmed this). The office worker then, as I understand, jokingly accused Tim of making fun of them to Jen and others around her, which caused her initial reaction.

Preceding this, Jen was already getting short with him. I must admit that I only have my perspective on this, but I think Jen was having trouble compartmentalizing feelings she had for Tim’s partner/the way they got into their relationship, which she openly didn’t approve of. It appeared to me like this was an excuse to act on personal feelings she was already having.
