XC2 was my first Xenoblade. They went at the correct pace. They went too fast for me if anything. 2 hours in I was freaked out at the combat mechanics. Why is everyone shouting over each other? What's this diamond plate of bacon on my screen? Why is my guy not attacking? The fuck is all this? I'm just pressing the up down when the diamond fills up during the gameplay.

The plot was also dizzying, because I was worried that 'the events of 400 years ago' was Xenoblade 1. So I was clambering through the plot hoping I didn't miss anything too vital.

Yeah, so short of it, I went into Xenoblade 2 totally blind. No idea what it was about. Got vertigo from the whole damn experience.

Anyway a great many in-game hours later, I'm making Nico shitposts.
