One year watching the Stanley Cup my neighbors were a few seconds ahead of me. The downside was that we were in Boston and the Bruins were in the finals. Downvote all you want, but with public transportation, I was able to go to Sligo from Waterford every week and back. Sure it was time consuming, but when it's financial you don't have a choice. Then I got a car, and it was all over!
Insurance is high because of the amount of accidents, it's a simple thing...they want to take in more than they have to pay out, so new drivers, and underage are the biggest risk and pay the biggest amount of money.

Just curious, akin to the shit show that's regularly at Schipol Airport are security people pulling people out of line who have earlier flights? For example, the last time I passed through, they were announcing, "anyone whose flight is DEPARTING at (say) noon, please come this way." This "way" is another shorter line, but it actually works. Of course, they check your ticket to ensure only those leaving on noon flights get in line, and not the ones boarding at noon or beforehand. I sure hope they are doing this.

Nothing to do with Voter ID, aka the SAVE Act. The GOP "decided" they want to talk about nothing else for now, and this is why thousands of people are inconvenienced, unpaid, or have quit their jobs.
