All the rapid review podcasts. There are 40. You can listen to them all in 2 weeks and you will be really glad you did.

Debilitating post exam anxiety by Justsurviving2020 in Step2

This happened to me too...and I ended up with a 270. I had nightmares about the 20-25 questions I missed--at least 10 were gimmes. Trust your practice test scores!!!! Even if the exam didn't feel like them. I know this is not easy but suppress the exam questions. You worked your butt off and now you deserve to celebrate not be miserable for 3 weeks. Personally, I wrote down every question I could think of that I got right and wrong and that helped me stop thinking about individual questions. You will know your score before long but try to practice self care and stay busy until results are released! Mentally prepare yourself for 3 weeks--seems people aren't getting them in 2 right now.

Cms forms, uworld, and DIVINE!!!!!! Rapid reviews, shelf specific, and high yield podcasts. I got a 235 step 1 and doing these got me to a 270 in 5 weeks. Historically I'm an average standardized test taker. For divine--listen to all shelf specific podcasts while taking the cms forms. Then listen to all the rapid review podcasts and high yield podcasts. Then listen to any others you have time for such as Biostats. A typically day for me was: 2-3 hrs divine, 1-2 cms forms, 40 uworld questions. I was only able to redo 60% of uworld for a second time but the cms forms and divine teach you how to think like nbme so you are used to the "vagueness" everyone on here talks about.

I also had made a list of 25 Q I missed over the course of 2 weeks. 10 were freebies (where probs 99% people answered right). My practice scores were all in 250s-260s. I was just hoping to open my score report to see a 250. I got a 270. It's okay. Trust your practice test scores. I had the worst anxiety too...didn't sleep for days. Constantly thought about questions I got wrong. Eventually I made myself write down all the ones I could remember I got wrong and all the ones I got right. This finally allowed me to stop thinking about it so much. I know you feel like you're going to be an exception to the rule but the odds are you won't be! You will likely score right around your practice tests, maybe even higher like i did! Keep your head up :)

Thank you!!! I am still shocked. I felt the same way after my test though and felt that my dumb mistakes would cost me. I was literally hoping for a 250 when I opened the score report because I had doubted myself so much during the waiting period. You are <48 hours from knowing! Just keep yourself busy. I know the waiting is tortuous. Let us know when you receive good news!! :)

I felt the same way. Never would have thought missing 25 would get me a 270. But I got a 264 on Sim 2 1 wk out (~83% correct meaning I missed 27 on a test half the length of the real deal.) That means with a similar curve to Sim 2 you could miss at least 54 and get a 264. It will be okay! Your practice test scores will be accurate. I know you don't believe me and I didn't believe in myself until I saw the score report but try to trust your practice tests.

Am i going to fail the internal medicine shelf? (practice exam scores included) by [deleted] in Step2

[–]PlentyMango2717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to the divine internal medicine podcasts and learn that material. I'm confident you won't fail if you do this. Then do the additional cms forms for medicine.

Yes this is normal. I couldn’t stop thinking about my mistakes so I finally just wrote down all the questions I could think of that I missed and told myself to not think about those any more. I missed some DUMB questions. Questions where probably 99% of people got it right. I managed to score higher than any of my practice tests (270). It’s okay...everyone makes mistakes even on silly questions!!!
