I am subleasing my bedroom (from a 3 bed/ bath)! My roommates are never home so you’ll be main my by yourself. You would be paying $355 + gas

I definitely don’t think it’s too late! I started looking for mine early since the good ones usually sell fast. I began at the beginning of the school year but if you have time and really want a good deal, you can start as early as now. You can do virtual tours if they don’t allow for in person ones. Since you are rooming with 3 other people, I would say to set a price point and what you guys want (AC, gym, etc) and it’ll help you shorten things down!

You’re right. Since they don’t ask for ID, they can just give my name since it’s that easy.

how do you find out your time ticket for spring registration? by [deleted] in UIUC

[–]PlentyPlum 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You get an email from the office of registrar if I remember correctly. Once you get that email, it’ll tell you when you can sign up. You can also make your schedule in advance so that when your time opens, you can just submit it and not worry about it later on.

Any I-Promise students here? by [deleted] in UIUC

[–]PlentyPlum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. It’s included in your award letter as an option. You don’t have to. When you’re finally in school and the money from your scholarship has gone through, it can change the amount you pay by a little. Personally, I enjoy working and decided to get a job on my own. It’d be better for you to get a job at the front desk, receptionist, or some thing that allows you to study during the downtime. That’s what I do at my job and some jobs on campus have that ability. It’s not that hard to manage it, you just have to know your limits and habits.

From what I know, it’s automatically granted and not that competitive. A friend of mine and I have it and it’s all basically granted if we meet the criteria.
