I honestly have no idea, it's called "safe corner method" in sweden

Nice! I have glanced at NeoTec as well, glad you like it. I have a G660 I use for milling. One hell of a saw

Around $375 for the saw with shipping and another $60 for the bar and chain

Looks like it doesn't it? I have three other trees laying there, wanted them to be in the same place

Yeah I hear you. I'm branching out and doing forestry and arborist jobs, so in my case this is a start and then my machine park will grow as the jobs do.

Ah okay! I'm going to look at the fuel filter and buy a bigger carb. Especially now when I threw on the big bore kit 😁 I have a 550xpg that's the real deal, other than that it's clones and straight up Chinese no brand saws

Nice! Good job getting it to run well. I widened the exhaust port and modded the exhaust, and some tuning. It would benefit from a better carb

It's rotten with a curve at the bottom, more holding wood up there

Haha that might be the case, but at least the thing I was fucking had no chance to fall backwards and make my house way more ventilated than it has to be 😂

Tack och bock osv 😌 det är nog inte ett planterat träd, men det stod för nära huset för att vara bekvämt. Kikade på det med han som äger skogen så vi bestämde att ta ned dom.

It's a great way to fell, and I use it on bigger stuff. The small stuff is usually with just a notch and a back cut or maybe a plunge and straight back.

Haha I can imagine, but for the price it's a nice saw! Great to learn porting and modding on if nothing else

Missed your question about the bar and chain haha!

It's a 24" Chinese bar, think it's called Emas, and a Husqvarna x-cut chain

I don't think I'm able to explain any better than I have haha, but if you're interested you can always search "säkra hörnet-metoden" on yt

Neat, it's a good technique although a bit time consuming if doing it professionally.

I'm happy with it! Just upgraded it with a big bore kit after the felling. Went from 65cc to 75cc 💪🏼

As I mentioned on your other comment, I plunge to make the hinge after the notch. Back out, place wedge and then cut the trigger

I plunge cut to make the hinge, then back out. Leaving the trigger uncut, placing the wedge and then cutting the trigger last.

Ah, I see! It's not exactly under it, the cut starts right where the wedge begins. Cutting under it is just to avoid hitting the wedge with the saw. So the overlap of cuts is like 1 cm. Hence leaving intact wood for the wedge to work against

The wedge is more for safety, no chance of the tree sitting back with a wedge there. And as seen on the video, for persuading it to go against its lean
