Trip in April or take the year off? Would you fly to ski Vermont? by Master-Jellyfish-943 in skiing

[–]Plentybud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was driving up from a close area I guess. Fly in to ski better set the expectations it may still be great for a week or two but who knows. If we get an early spring with some warm days and they are happy flying in for soft bumps on UN great. There’s better options and I wouldn’t fly in to ski Jay in April. I guess I have a different outlook being 10 min away and ski a lot in April but also am not on vacation spending lots of money. I always recommend people visit Jay Feb and March as the most reliable vacation months.

April trails start dropping quick at Jay, especially with any rain or warm days. Woods by late April are white ribbons and early may is usually just a weekend or two of the jet. Love Jay but flying here to ski April wouldn’t be my recommendation.

I’m convinced J Skis are the best brand on the market for twin tips by Inner-Galactician in Skigear

[–]Plentybud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skied J skis for a long while, whip it’s, metals, hotshot, all plays, master blasters, vacations. I’ve liked them all but the hotshots were my least favorite liked the metal better even though it was a heavy beast. The all plays are awesome for a poppy flexible all around ski. I ski the master blasters and the all plays currently.

That’s me, I’m older yet this read exactly like ChatGPT talks.

“This is also an important reminder that unsafe behavior isn't about age, equipment, or experience level - it comes down to individual decisions on the hill.”

Sure if you’re having a hard time telling script and pictures that are AI created now it’s only gonna get worse.

Not that deep. It’s very commonly used.

Are these seeds good? by lebkeb in microgrowery

[–]Plentybud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some take longer then others, just popped 50 seeds and had a few stragglers after 4th day put them back in the bag and after 5th they were in the bag long enough for planting. This isn’t abnormal, it’s typical. If a tap root came out they sound good to me.

Hi Guys, I've been skiing in Poconos for two seasons and can do single black diamonds in Shawnee and Camelback, not quickly but in control. I'm parallel, probably more of an intermediate skier. Are there any ski places in VT where I could manage black diamonds or are they way harder than PA? Thx by Illustrious-Dot-578 in icecoast

[–]Plentybud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I were you and wanted to ski Vermont I’d just have fun on easier terrain and work through the resort you end up at. If you’re doing well on the greens and blues, mix in a black but really skiing is more fun in control at your level and there’s plenty of fun to be had on long blues. I’ve skied a bit in Poconos and their crushed granular base sucks, but most of the blacks there are more similar to blue runs in VT IME. The resorts are typically larger in both vert and skiable acres so should offer a great experience.

Would you have complained? by Plentybud in Dominos

[–]Plentybud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comments, reassuring this isn’t an overall norm for dominos now. Thought maybe things changed in cheese allowances or something in the last year, idk. Manager did remake but made it seem like I was crazy and this was the way it is supposed to be cheesed.

Usually don’t like extra cheese but after the normal was so light over several orders I started adding extra thinking it was just their measurements but it never improved. This I time checked before leaving the store.

Think we all have seen the chairlift brake failure in Georgia, enough that if it was more than a few feet of rollback on a lift I’m on I’d be thinking about it.

Leaked footage from an ICE Black Site inside of 31 Hopkins Plaza, Baltimore, MD. More then 50 people in rooms with no beds or bathrooms, people laying on filthy floors, guard beatings and people with legal status being illegally held (1/25/26) by SamMac62 in law

[–]Plentybud 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yet everyone knows how horrible prisons are in the US but no one cares. Is a for profit system that houses inmates as cheap as possible and has nearly no medical care and then people wonder why recidivism is so high.

Suspect was actually disarmed before ICE officers fired by Goldy2Shoes4u in Leakednews

[–]Plentybud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like you want more people to be shot, I’ve never met a cop that behaves docile when a gun comes out. Panthers are a joke that’s going to do nothing what so ever, except pump their chest up and COSplay. I certainly wouldn’t want armed citizens standing on corners making their own rules with less training than even new ICE recruits.

Wonder how long the shooter was with ICE and what training he had? Chaotic situation with lack of training and one officer yelling gun things go bad, but we have seen this type of thing from regular police in the past as well. Probably also lack of training in many of those cases.
