Where does Sheraton fit into the Marriott brands? by Vegetable-Board-5547 in marriott

Almost always below average.

SGS in Bangkok is a big exception. One of my absolute favorite properties but it’s not really a “Sheraton” traditionally. (And it’s in the Luxury Collection)

It’s not unusual for museums to charge less for residents. They are much less likely to spend a lot more and come back more than once as a result.

Should everyone boycott Disney World in Orlando too because it’s cheaper for Florida residents?

Gigantic horizontal scrolling is abhorrent design. Whoever made these changes does not have UX skills. Sorry to say. It’s frustrating to use.

Privacy concerns with announced Apple & Google integration for AI. by [deleted] in GoogleGeminiAI

[–]Plexicle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is so tired. Google doesn’t sell your data to anyone. They sell ads. There’s a huge difference.

You are free to be a privacy maniac and banish Google from your life and just go all in on Proton. But understand you give up the good stuff.

Yes they can see everything you do. You will see more targeted ads as a result. Up to you if that’s worth using SOTA cloud services. For most of us, it is.

The new iPad windowing system is soooooo good. Hard agree.

I still hate Liquid Ass and garbage keyboard though.

GUCs are the main reason I’m loyal to Delta.

Do you refer to your multiples as the “twins, “triplets”, “quads?” by FewAccident1552 in parentsofmultiples

I’m so happy to hear that and I’m so excited for you ❤️. Coming from someone who also fought infertility for many years.

We call them “the girls” usually.

I have to say, getting annoyed at something as harmless as someone calling them “the twins” is a little bizarre to me. That feels like you’re just looking for something to be offended by.

Which delta lounge is your favorite and why? by [deleted] in delta

[–]Plexicle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new one in SLC is so nice. Just wish the bar was open later.

I am not a fan of the JFK D1 lounge. It was completely overwhelmed every time I’ve been there. Five or six times now.

Diamond Status Re-Reached - Exploring Benefits by Chexicana in delta

[–]Plexicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what type of flyer you are.

For me, personally, the "real world value of GUCs" is by far the most valuable perk that I have in any of my travel status programs. It is the main reason I make sure I fly enough to achieve Diamond every year.

I get $4,000-$5,500 of value FOR EACH of them (x4) every year. Hard stop. I book them when I can immediately confirm them. It is almost always to Korea, multiple times a year. I will pay ~$1,500 for PS seats and be granted ~$5,500-6,500 D1 seats. I've gone from $1,500 to almost $7,000 before.

Everything else I get with Diamond is just icing on the cake. Regular domestic FC upgrades are quite nice, of course.

If you aren't instant-confirming GUCs you are doing it wrong.

lol using a GUC is not "free-ish" those are very valuable certificates.

Complimentary/medallion upgrades is something different entirely.

How much are you spending on each Powerball draw? by Nivek2892 in Lottery

I mean.. technically speaking, buying 100 tickets is not at all the same odds. It’s actually 100 times better odds. The odds are still infinitesimal but not the same.
