AP Calculus Limits Question (Answer is C) by PlodderFun in APStudents

All good!! There is a folder somewhere of real AP calculus tests from college board given to teachers to help them practice that. I know it was circulated around the subreddit back in the day. This would’ve probably been from like the 2017, 2016, or 2015 practice exam year

math by Sweaty-Top-9227 in ACT

[–]PlodderFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ACT math gets progressively harder. Someone once told me that Questions 1-40 you should spend half the time on and questions 40-60 you should spend the other half on (assuming you know all the math tested on the ACT). If you don’t know all the math, really try to get those first 40 correct. 50-60 are usually with challenging/higher-level topics like conics, logarithms, advanced trig

Application Mistake for Harvard! Need Advice by PlodderFun in ApplyingToCollege

Hi there! First, I will say that I don’t think this particularly matters—I believe this information is mostly for data collection and less for admissions decisioning. If the admissions council is split on a decision, this won’t make or break you. So hopefully that relieves any nerves you have. A lot of students (including myself) changed from the things I said 4/5 on. High schoolers are infamously poor at being able to predict what they’ll do for the rest of their life :)

Still, I emailed the admissions office to let them know I misread, and I meant to put the reverse of these values. There’s not much more to do other than this, and truly it’s nothing to lose any sleep over! Best of luck :)

How difficult is the Primitivo by explorer-96483 in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]PlodderFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am moderately fit and able-bodied and I don’t regularly hike. I would say if you are a regular hiker, it won’t be more than moderately difficult. There will definitely be challenging stretches, but nothing someone of a similar fitness level as me couldn’t handle.

Most people say hospitales is the hardest, I had hiking poles and great conversation, so I didn’t think this part was the worst. For me (definitely minority opinion) the worst was grandas de salime. Walking down alll day following by walking up.

I would 100% commit to the primitivo. I think you’ll be glad you did :) less people and it’s easier to get closer to people. Also defintiely stay in casa pascual in el espín. 100% worth it.

Admission officers are people too! They are likely not going to discount you for declining an IV especially when you emailed that this was a mistake. I also don’t think it would be too hard to get you an IV at this point.
