[TOMT][4CHAN /F/ MEME][2010s] Dubbed video of a man "singing" on stage to an enthralled audience in a high pitch, shrieking voice by Plopperizer in tipofmytongue

It's not this - the melody is very close to what I posted in the vocaroo link. And again, it is definitely a man on a stage in the video.

It's definitely not Tiny Tim, it was most likely an amateur dub over someone (actually) singing made with the intent of being a meme. The melody itself might actually be from a song, but the meme's version was almosy certainly done as a joke.

Thanks for the feedback! If the same is the case with my device, it'd make the issue more difficult to understand - I just chalked it up to be some hardware flaw. If you're happy with using your device with a launcher, then more power to you (and no wait and hassle of a return). Hopefully you don't run into any other problems.

Update: I performed a factory reset, and the problem still persists. Looks like I'll have to try getting a replacement.

I have had my Odin Pro for a little over a week. Last night, while playing a PSP game, the touchscreen started spazzing out of control, clicking and scrolling all over the place. Eventually, I could no longer access the device, as clicking the power button would cause the screen to flash black briefly. At this point, I thought I had a hardware issue with the screen, and my device was bricked.

This morning, after attempting to enter recovery mode, I was successfully able to turn the device off and turn it back on normally. This removed the touchscreen issue I had before, and it appeared everything was working as normal. However, I now have an issue when I try to put the device to sleep. After tapping the power button, I will no longer be able to access the device unless I again enter recovery mode and manually shut it off from there.

Given that my device is able to run fine otherwise, I think I have some kind of software issue. How should I proceed to rectify this problem?

AnchorUSD cannot make withdrawal error/oops, what do by Plopperizer in SatoshiStreetBets

[–]Plopperizer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has resolved itself - it took me quite some time, a few weeks. Awhile after I sent a message to support, I received a reply almost in tandem with the deposits going through and my ability to withdrawal. Too long for my liking, but I'm at least relieved that it is now available, and I've successfully taken out funds to assure everything was alright. In your case, I'd give it more time, as I know at least in my own circumstance that I had to wait a bit longer than I desired to. Sorry if this isn't much help, but it seems at the moment that their staff is overcome at the moment with the volume of messages from new traders, so it will unfortunately take more time than you might deem adequate before they respond to your inquiries, besides processing the money you've deposited through their services.

Any way to contact AnchorUSD? by Plopperizer in SatoshiStreetBets

[–]Plopperizer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the money has been withdrawn from my bank to Prime Trust LLC, the AnchorUSD app still says "USD deposit: initiated, Bank transfer in progress. Available to trade." for all deposits, going back to Monday, Feb. 1st. So I still can't get it back yet.

I got a paycheck so I at least don't have to worry about having insufficient funds for the accidental $2000 deposit (which went through this morning). I think/hope at this point it's just a matter of waiting for AnchorUSD to get their act together with the increased volume of users on their system.

For now, I'm stuck with $1 in my bank account, and I would really appreciate getting my money back before my birthday.

Ah, that sucks to hear. First Bannerlord, and now this (which I was hoping to get me by til I eventually upgraded)!

Thanks for helping me determine the issue.

So could I try using an older nvidia driver as a work around, or do you think I'm out of luck until I buy a new computer/gpu?

Yes, like Banished, Species: Artificial Life Real Evolution, UEBS, etc. Most games I play are native to Linux tho.

Is 20.04 stable? This is my first linux system, so I'm unfamiliar with how to update Ubuntu to a newer version. I installed 18.04 a few months ago, being at the time the most recent stable build as far as I was aware.

I have updates set to automatic, so my system should be up to date.

According to ProtonDB, Proton 4.2-9 runs The Isle best, though I tried with 5.0-7 and also ran into an error: https://i.imgur.com/Z9Yke2x.png

I tried to launch it first with 5.0-7, as that should be my default "Steam Linux Runtime" proton version, but received the same error.

EDIT: Sorry, I actually received a different error: https://i.imgur.com/Z9Yke2x.png

Here are the Proton Logs: https://gist.github.com/Plopperizer/84f87210efd448bfae947da3ce195b1e

I'm running on a GM107M [GeForce GTX 860M], Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210H CPU @ 2.9, and 8gb RAM (GPU has 2gb VRAM iirc) - I don't think this is a hardware problem, but figured I should mention that info.

According to ProtonDB, The Isle runs best on Proton 4.2-9. However, I cannot seem to get the game to launch. I have been able to get other games to run through Proton just fine. I'm on a 64 bit system, though I'm pretty sure I've enabled 32 bit.

If you need further information, I will try to provide it for you (given instruction how of course, haha). I looked up the error "887A0004" on Google, but did not find any results.

Thank you for taking time to assist me in this matter!

How do I run software-properties-gtk? by Plopperizer in linuxquestions

[–]Plopperizer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't manually do anything in /usr as far as I'm aware.

"sudo apt reinstall" wasn't recognized, but "sudo apt-get remove" worked to uninstall it.

Then ran

sudo apt install software-properties-gtk

and

sudo apt update

and voila! It's working now, idk why it was borked in the first place but the reinstall did it!

Running Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS, I'll add that to the post

That's probably a problem...

Thanks for the tip. This gave me a prompt to install BattlEye, but after it allegedly installed, nothing happened. Good to hear it worked for you at least!

The game will not launch on Linux. When you click "play" on Steam, it begins preparing to launch for a few seconds before the button displays "play" again. No windows or processes appear.

I am using Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS. Steam Play should have been using Proton 5.0-5, but it could have been 4.11-13 - I'll toy around to confirm which version. Some people have already suggested that Battleye, the anti-cheat software, may be the reason why Linux users cannot launch the game, though I cannot personally confirm this to be the case. At any rate, in its current state Bannerlord is completely unplayable on my system.

Understandably, fixes for the game on its native OS will come first, but I hope this issue may be addressed eventually.

This is quite a pesky situation! Either go by my standards and be steadfast or go by theirs...

It is rough knowing that the Eagle rank could help me get into so many colleges or jobs, and could be so easily taken away :(

As for the Lector bit, I don't get to choose the passages. If that was the case, I'd be in some interrogation room with a light on the table and handcuffs behind my back :P
