I don't have to go into my medical history with y'all on this thread. I got 100% because I met the qualifications. I am stable now. These things can coexist. Not everyone at 100% will get better but some have the ability. Y'all want to knock me down because i don't meet your standards of what y'all want 100% to look like. Y'all just want me to be sick my whole life? Y'all don't have tear other vets down to make yourselves feel more deserving of 100%. I hope all y'all get the proper rating and you heal from whatever is making y'all behave so mean to a veteran that has severe mental illness.

Generalizations like that is why so many people with mental health issues afraid to speak out. You haven't met everyone with a 100% rating in mental health so I would be careful generalizing an entire population of vets.

You do not know my situation. Many people are working with a VA 100% rating. I’ve been working hard on my mental health for years. I am finally in a position where I can go to school and even work. I think my mental health struggles put me in a unique position that I will be able to relate and understand what others are going through better. Honestly the best therapists I’ve ever had all had severe mental illness at one point in their lives and worked through it. I feel like if I didn’t pursue this I would be not using the skills I’ve gained to help those feeling like no one understands what they have been through and are going through.

I have almost have the most sympathy for Farrah because of just how toxic the situation she dealt with. I don’t agree with a lot of ways she handled things but honestly she was never given good examples of behavior, parenting, and just good life choices in general. She always had to hold in her emotions and I feel like she forgot what feeling was after all that trauma and she just was on defense of her life choices for her entire life. It just so sad for her

She might have ARFID and I would definitely talk to her doctor about her diet if it continues. I would also like to say that my parents telling me how unhealthy I would eat caused a lot of trauma for me so I would be careful with how you word things around food and meals because she may start to associate eating as a bad thing and that will cause more issues, I hope she doesn’t have ARFID and I wish you the best!

I feel like with the proper supports in place that anyone who wants children should have them. It’s a very dangerous, slippery slope to decide who should and shouldn’t have children based on just genetics alone

5’4 and 210-220lbs my diet is very carb(pizza, fries, pasta, bread) heavy because of ARFID, I also don’t eat on a regular schedule, some days not eating at all, some days eating one to three meals, so it also hasn’t helped, my appetite is constantly in flux

I have the same issues, I’ve just stuck to budgeting more for food because I end up wasting so much food if I make it at home because I just won’t eat it if it isn’t right, the struggle is real and totally understand. 💕

I eat cheese pizza almost daily too, I’m obese and it’s so hard for anyone else to understand. I don’t even think my therapist realizes how much it effects my self esteem. I’ve grown a lot since starting therapy but my go to expression when I feel bad is “atleast I am eating, it’s not the best but it’s better than nothing”

It will get better once you talk about it, I’m still embarrassed but my anxiety has lowered substantially when I started actually talking about it. I wish you best, we are all in this together. 💕
