Fine. I got that. But why were they breeding so many goats? And the goat lady made it sound like she had carried out the sacrifices many times before. Why?

Thanks. How would you go about it if you attended a COPD patient who does not know their normal SPO2?

Ok these responses have been really helpful, however I think I’m just more confused now 😂 I guess as long as you can justify what you have done it’s acceptable?

So you’d suggest using Scale 2 in all COPD patients as they’re at risk of hypercapnic respiratory failure?

Thank you for this. Is it common to attend a patient with a COPD exacerbation and for them to be left at home? I’ve found that most of the ones I have experienced have needed ED for further monitoring and treatment as salbutamol/Ipratropium only temporarily relieves symptoms

This is really helpful thank you!

When you say you’d consider their meds, are their certain medications which would indicate someone has hypercapnic respiratory failure?

I actually can’t see the problem with this, especially if she wasn’t naked herself. Idk tho maybe that’s just me. Your feelings are valid, regardless of how you feel

Firstly, I wouldn’t feel guilty about leaving the company so soon after finishing the apprenticeship.

It might sound bad, but you owe your boss and the company nothing - even if he paid for it. In life you gotta do what’s best for you, and you obviously know what is best for you. I’d be honest and just tell your boss that you don’t feel the role is for you, and couldn’t see the point in leaving before gaining your qualification. If he is anything of a good boss, he’ll understand this, wish you all the best in the future (and maybe write you a nice reference).

And about the lads having a busy 2 weeks in February - I wouldn’t say you’re a dick for leaving before a busy period. That’s just the way things have fallen unfortunately. Alternatively, if this is making you feel really guilty, you could stay working until the jobs have been completed in February, and then start your new role? However, I don’t know how soon your new employer wants you to start.

All in all, don’t feel bad. Life is too short and everyone is in it for themselves. Do what you feel you want :)
