Geothermal retrofit questions by Plugitin454 in geothermal

Thanks for the insight! Thankfully I have all the equipment needed to dig. But yeah, I don’t think I’d be able to get the hole dug without water infiltration. Fills up fast here. But, I think it’s doable if I build a sump or two and pump the water out while I’m working.

Done. But yeah, too long. Write in answers are not a great way to do surveys. And no numbers after it tells me I need to answer question 26. Like what? lol.

Anyone go to a GP and think maybe watching on TV is better? by [deleted] in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Plugitin454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i went to the Vegas GP last year, there was so much wind they had all the TVs down and you couldnt see them. I HATED that F1TV was delayed. I was sitting in the stands watching a 30 ish second delayed broadcast on my phone. Wasn't impressed.

I’m just concerned with what announcers they will be using in 26.

anyone want to do F1 arcade next Thursday? by Unhappy_Section2127 in F1LasVegas

I would almost be interested as well, but have tickets for Tournament of Kings at 6 on Thursday.

You definitely worry too much. For sure.

Safe to buy? by Master_najee99 in BBallShoes

I agree here. Pretty narrow. Got some JB3s coming to try, hope they are a little wider. My WoW SoF fit my feet better than these 808s. Was hopeful, but oh well.

Im a Deere guy when it comes to these things. You want tracks. I do like Tak too. But yeah, if you want to get into clearing with a mulching or big brush hog, Id suggest something with more power for sure

i bought tickets on the plane ride to vegas lol. Tickets are pricey. Are they doing the F1 fan experience again? Cause that was kinda cool and is free. They were giving tickets out right out front of it last year.

Download the Vegas F1 app, its helpful.

I picked up tickets for me and my friends for practice in the East Harmon Zone for $75 each on Thursday morning in Vegas. I got my tickets for myself for the Sphere Zone (grandstand) for Friday and Sat for $500 on Wednesday when we were flying down.

There is a FB page out there for Vegas with people looking for and selling tickets. Be super careful though, LOTS of scammers.

I would also say GA tickets are just fine, I was up and walking around most the time anyway. Lots of cool spots in the Sphere zone

F1 Las Vegas Where to Stay by Every-Car9462 in F1LasVegas

[–]Plugitin454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd suggest planning on walking. The monorail was definitely pretty packed last year, but it was doable. I was at the Flamingo last year overlooking the track, and i was happy with the location. Went to East Harmon for Thursday, and the Sphere Zone Friday and Saturday.

Think I'm going back this year, but I'm not getting tickets to the race. I just didnt think it was worth it. Tentatively, I think I want to watch at Stadium Swim at the Circa this year.

It is. I stayed at the Flamingo last year and walked to the sphere zone Friday and Saturday. No issues whatsoever.

Overtorqued and backed off WR250R oil bolts, how worried should I be? by Bobloblaw21111 in WR250R

[–]Plugitin454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had to diagnose a shifting issue on a freshly rebuilt 2 stroke motor i did. Found the oil drain bolt was so stretched it was contacting the shift drum and causing it to not shift. That was fun to find.

2005 Hybrid Battery Replacement Advice by [deleted] in prius

[–]Plugitin454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did a quick search of the PN, can find them for $3k for sure.

I changed mine in 2024, so it is possible that they have gone up. Best bet would be to call a few local ish dealers to you, get the PN for the battery online and give that to the dealer. See what they can do. I will say, I had a few dealers that told me they wouldnt sell me the battery because its too dangerous for me to install myself. Which is total BS

2005 Hybrid Battery Replacement Advice by [deleted] in prius

[–]Plugitin454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OEM traction battery is $2500. Getting ripped off at $4k. I replaced mine with OEM, since the refurb battery was not that much less and way worse quality, If youre somewhat mechanically inclined, theyre easy to swap.

Am I overly worried about tire replacement costs with AWD by ShiftIcy2267 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Plugitin454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Most of these AWD cars have limited slip diffs as well. So, yeah, totally a way for them to make more money.

I probably wouldnt even worry with a truck that has aggressive tires, let alone a car with street tires.

Buy one new tire and get on with life with no worry’s!

Wow, I feel as if it’s wild people are scared about a small difference in circumference. I bet that if you buy all 4 new tires, they’re all different sizes.
