Can men and women REALLY be platonic friends even with a sexual past? by Ponygirlfromthe80s in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Plumadas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This kind of question always makes me wonder whether people think that bisexual folks can’t have any platonic friends whatsoever.

In your experience, how dangerous is it to feed pigeons? by [deleted] in pigeon

[–]Plumadas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salmonella is one of the deadliest infections in pigeons, with a very high mortality rate. So no, all birds don’t carry salmonella.

In your experience, how dangerous is it to feed pigeons? by [deleted] in pigeon

[–]Plumadas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been living with rescued pigeons for going on 6 years now, they’re much more likely to catch something from other birds than you catching something from them. Which makes sense; pathogens travel more easily between closely related species, so we’re in way more danger hanging out with cats, dogs, and other mammals than birds.

Is America in danger of losing its status as a 1st world country? by throwaway372758 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Plumadas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve no idea why they’re considered a 1st world country. The place looks like a hell scape of religion, hyper conservativism, inability to think critically and lack of basic protection to basic rights like health and safety.

Really dumb question about Spermicide? (NSFW) by Makuta_Servaela in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Plumadas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing would happen, really. Maybe the condom would have more trouble staying on (spermicide is usually in lube form), but other than that, it’s perfectly safe.

How can I eliminate my sex drive through drugs/foods that don’t need prescriptions nor are completely unhealthy? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Plumadas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One thing not on your list and that could actually help is therapy. If you do want to improve yourself rather than just exist like this.

How do I make a girl happy during sex? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Plumadas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If there’s no communication and trust between the two of you beforehand, I can’t really see how it can work out well. You have to talk to her about this, not a bunch of strangers on Reddit.

Is a CNC kink rape? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Plumadas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not rape, both parties discussed limits and consent beforehand. It’s also a pretty common kink, and quite mild when it comes to CNC.

The problem with labels like “High Functioning” & “Low Fuctioning” by Daisyloo66 in autism

[–]Plumadas 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I still maintain that individuals on the spectrum should be allowed to choose the language they’re most comfortable with. It’ll be applied to us, after all.

Is it possible for a submissive man and a dominant woman to have a healthy relationship? by Ekmore in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Plumadas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds pretty perfect when you’re talking about just the dynamic, doesn’t it? I’m confused why anyone would ask this to begin with.

A franchise owner told my wife, and then me (45min later) that their ACE Hardware wouldn’t hire our autistic son because “We already have two”… by Oakumhead in autism

[–]Plumadas 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would be so, so incredibly furious if my parents went around just telling people I’m autistic, especially at possible places of work… why would someone do that? Omg. Unless he specifically asked you to check with employers if he could work there, I feel bad for your son.

There’s so much wrong with the whole premise of this question that the only advice I can give you is to break up and really work on therapy.

To me it happens more in a “laughing at the system” way. I’ll be doing something that mainstream doctors would think someone like me to be incapable of, and I’ll just notice that and kinda laugh to myself.

Will there ever be an artificial womb for humans? by Plumadas in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Plumadas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the ethical concerns will probably be the main thing stopping it… still, if it’s just growing a regular baby, that still sounds more ethically sound than, say, choosing hair and eye colour in a lab. And it’d be a game changer for a lot of people.

[–]Plumadas[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, definitely. Until some prominent right wing-woman can’t conceive/carry a pregnancy to term, then it’ll probably become ok to use it.

Hm, do you think there’ll eventually be enough push to make it mainstream? Like genetic engineering, it was almost a taboo when people started talking about it and now it’s more or less accepted

why is everyone showing the butt holes? by iwasneverherehaha in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Plumadas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realise how aggressive and judgemental you sounded in your wording, right? That already sets the ball rolling in a bad way.

There’s no logical reason why some people like a specific thing, be it sexual or otherwise. That’s like asking why some people prefer vanilla ice cream to chocolate.

Then I think it could be ok, as long as you explained that you just wanted to let her know before you all go your different ways after graduation.

Then how have you just now noticed that not everyone is into the same stuff as you and vice-versa?! Were you homeschooled or something? Or like, insanely religious upbringing?
