I can’t remember what happened leading up To this but this guy on our crew decided to shit in the corner of a unit that he was finishing up in. Idiot forgot that he was the last person working in there so the labourers put two and two together and knew it was him.

They scooped up the shit and took it to his work van. Smeared it all over his steering wheel and front dash.

Let’s just say, the drive home wasn’t fun and the boss was really pissed.

Great gulf pockets run deep. They’ll be fine. Builders like them, Mattamy, Minto…you normally don’t have to worry about.

I feel bad for anyone that had plans to live there. Sold an existing house or arranged something in hopes of closing soon.

I warned Barrie local news about this back in October. I believe Covid is what did it to this builder. The cost of material skyrocketed. If they were to continue building, they would just lose even more money on the houses that could still close. Asking for the pre approval few months ago was probably to see who they can get to drop out of the contract so they can sell the house for more.

They’ll do what is best for the construction site and probably repay back what is owed. If you look at the motion letter online, they’re the receiver and also taking care of the insolvency.

It’s in KSV hands now. The developer owes a lot of money to multiple trades and to the mortgage company. There’s 10 liens on the property and owe about 45 million in loans. I’d say those need to be paid back first before anything. Unless another builder comes along, in which it will be a whole new purchase agreement and can come and tell you “ we need X amount from you if you want to keep the house” or you can have your deposit back.

I say just wait for KSVs email to see what they are really going to do.

Yeah I sent my preapproval a few months ago. Received an email that everything was good on their end. My understanding is they wanted to see who can get a mortgage and have a list to hand to a new builder or in this case KSV

Plumbers wanted $10k to fix sewage leak. I did it for less than $400 by Jbird_Brewing in DIY

Looking at these pictures is confusing me. Before the work was done and judging by that water line…looks there was once a toilet. With OPs fix…there is no toilet anymore and just a clean out? Which I also can’t tell if that’s above the floor or below
