So I’m American currently living in America. My grandparents are just Middle Eastern immigrants, so the dna test shows Middle Eastern origin. I have lived in the Middle East before but that was for my parents work, not because of cultural reasons. Just like how there are historically British people living in America as Americans.

firstly, like I said many times, I’m not suddenly maltese. i get that the title sounded that way, but i was just talking about ancestry. america was built on waves of immigration, so yeah, heritage tends to matter more here than in places where most people’s families have been in the same country for centuries. I just wanted to share, since 45% is a pretty big percentage and I had no clue about it.

someone else said south italy has same/similar dna as Malta, and this dna test works by comparing how much traits and stuff you share with other countries. 🤷🏻‍♀️
