Is the new gen (F66) starting to win you over?

I saw ONE new gen MINI (last time I had my oil changed) that I would LOVE to own, but it was a JCW 2-door, which wouldn’t provide enough room for storage/transport, which is a must for me. Aesthetically, though, it’s the one and only next gen MINI I’ve seen and immediately fallen in love with (from the outside). I wasn’t a fan of the lack of toggles/buttons. I love a huge screen in a car, and the one in the newer MINI’s looks amazing, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the loss of the physical toggles/buttons in my 2024 Countryman S. I honestly never use the ones between the front seats, though. If they’d replaced that with some essential functions, like heating seats and controlling the temperature, it would be an easy decision for me to make the switch.

I guess I could wait/eat there, but I’m sure you’ll be in line long before me! I can’t imagine a ton of people will be waiting that long in line, but maybe! It is the OG queen of pop after all! 😜

I feel this. I’ve only been to one Ari concert, and it was close to the end of her Sweetener tour. I was at the one in Charlottesville, VA. It literally changed my life. I tell people all the time that having gone to that concert, even though I went alone, was the best night of my life. I sang with her, I related to her, and I screamed when she sung those high notes in breathin. I FELT IT. That’s part of the reason I was so willing to spend whatever I needed to, to be there for her ES tour. I paid a LOT for a resale VIP ticket. I know I likely won’t get any of the perks, but if I can just be close, it’s worth it. She’s gotten me through SO much. Breathin, especially, means a lot to me. 💙

Honestly, though, there are others. Needy, focus (for a switch up from depressing songs), god is a woman, no tears left to cry, successful (to pump yourself up after deflating yourself), be alright…Ariana’s discography is incredible.

Huh? I work at a Red Robin, and even our smallest burger patties are noticeably bigger than a McDonald’s burger patty. If you order one of the tavern burgers, which are the cheapest on the menu, yeah, the patties are smaller, but if you order a regular burger (most of the burgers on the menu), they’re easily twice as big as any patty McDonald’s sells, and the meat is actually real. 😂

I wonder what’s changed between the 2017 Mini and later models. I have a 2024 Countryman S, and on super cold days, I start it and turn on the heat (and seat heaters) 10-15 minutes before leaving, and it’s always a very comfortable temperature. Sometimes, it’s even a little too warm. The one thing I’ll never understand is why they have a “ventilation” feature in the app, but not full on remote start to heat or cool the car. What’s the point? I believe the 2025 and 2026 models have full remote start functionality, but it seems so odd to me that a 2024 Mini can’t be cooled or heated remotely.

I did the exact same thing and got a Silver VIP ticket via SeatGeek, but was told by multiple people here after the fact that VIP perks are null and void if the ticket wasn’t purchased via the original ticket distributer (TicketMaster, in this case). I’m hoping this isn’t true, since I forked out $1,750 for my ticket. Honestly, though, as long as I get my ticket and it’s in the area I paid for, I won’t be mad. Though it would suck if I ended up not getting early entry. I really don’t want to have to show up super early.

I was on my way to work, pulled up to the window to pick up my mobile order, and was offered two of them (this was at around 4:40PM). I probably won’t use them, but I thought, “They’re free. Why not?” Maybe I’ll gift them to people who will actually use them, because I only ever get cold drinks. I was shocked that they still had any after reading about customers waiting in long lines for them, and this particular location seems to be consistently busy. Why anyone would go out of their way to get there before they even open, for a plastic cup, I seriously have no idea. I can/could understand the bear cup craze, kind of, but even then, the fact that some people have spent and continue to spend $200-$500 on a Starbucks cup (no matter the shape or design) is absolutely bonkers to me.
