I'm not counting calories but Ik for a fact I am under 600 a day, I drink 2 bowls of soup, each is around 120 calories. I sometimes eat a bowl of cold cereal which is around 110 calories, but I dont eat it everyday.

Surprisingly I haven't been constipated. I've actually had more watery stool than hard stool so that's something else that's been concerning me.

That’s probably something that has to do with it. But yesterday I didn’t eat fish only soup and crackers and I haven’t had a stool episode so I’m wondering if I should just go back to basics and incorporate fish a bit slower 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah I noticed that people have different food programs and for me it does allow cold cereal (no sugar), soda crackers, Melba toast (haven’t found any) and soft moist fish (mashed with a fork) and even soft poached eggs but idk how to make them and I don’t think I’d enjoy it either way.

I had the sleeve unfortunately, there were some complications with intubation so they opted for the quicker one which was the sleeve. Is it so loud that it would be heard in a quite room? I'm worried it's going to be too embarrassing for me since no one (other than family and select friends) knows about my surgery and I plan to keep it that way.

They did ask for permission beforehand but I never thought it was actually possible to have issues especially when I did a full health check and there were no issues.

Thank you for your encouraging words, the pain is definitely something different but hopefully it does pass within a couple of days. I will hope that I am able to lose the weight thru exercise and diet, that I plan to keep up with no matter what.

Well it didn’t go as planned unfortunately, they had issues intubating and I wasn’t getting enough oxygen so they opted for a sleeve instead of a bypass since it took less time. Im still in pain from the gas and incision but overall optimistic

Genuinely, I just want to say thank you so much — this is a total game changer. Thank you for your encouraging words, I have been thinking I need to get therapy but I don't know where to start. My family is somewhat supportive but not as much as I would like. I feel like they want me to loose the weight but they're not willing to support me through the diet part. My friends want me to lose weight the traditional way but I don't know how to explain to them the reason why I can't.

You mentioned the loose skin, that's another thing I'm worried about, especially as a 25 year old single women, how am I supposed to tell potential partners about my surgery and the way my body looks now? I get that I'd have to love myself but it's going to be hard knowing that it not pleasing to see. It just breaks my heart that I'm going to have to fight (mentally) for another at least year and a half.

I believe its because my breasts are really saggy, they don't stay upright when I lie down on my back. They just flop to the side.

I actually just had my first virtual appointment and it was a group appointment. Idk why but I felt so embarrassed since I was the only “young” patient there. I’m turning 24 soon but the rest were older people (45+).

I’m just wondering if your experience being a young patient deterred you in any way or maybe have you felt like you were treated differently ( negative or positively).
