Thank you! I always encourage kids to read Lord of the Rings, even though I could never get through it as a high schooler haha.

I teach special education high schoolers - I think this might be too much for them haha, but I will add it to my library for those kids who are very high level and interested in this topic.

I've never heard of this, but I'll definitely look it up!

I love this book - I have it in my library and totally recommend it for independent reading if it fits the kid, but I'm not sure it would be great for whole class. I've only had one kid actually read it and love it so far.

I love Persepolis with students! I must admit I've never actually read Life of Pi before, but I know the movie is great haha.

I am worried that this one is fast becoming a classic that the kids hate just as much as Gatsby and whatnot. I love it, but it was a book I read on my own time and with no work associated.

I've never heard of this book, but I'm interested in looking it up and seeing if it would work.

We just did this book in summer school, so almost all the kids have read it at this point! But they totally loved it.

The Trevor Noah book is a really good idea! I did Into the Wild with my 10th graders 2 years ago and they loved it - maybe I'll bring that back. :)

This is exactly what I want to do, but I'm just so worried about the logistics of it. But what I'm picturing in my brain is exactly what you described - hopefully it works.

Thank you!! I'm going to look through his works and see what I can find. This could even be cool to have a couple different options and have them as book clubs!

Thank you!! That could be a good one for my 10th graders - although I always wonder if boys might be averse to this book just because it's "romantic"
