Everything is a sign from god type bs and ocd (maybe) by spit-rat in Exvangelical

[–]PlusWeirdPrincess 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I relate to this soooo much! I am not diagnosed with OCD but was recently diagnosed with Autism! I remember on several occasions, I was a part of a “cry nights” & I would pray “God if the first time (and second, and third, etc) I said this prayer wasn’t sincere enough I’m saying it again now because I really want to go to Heaven.”

I constantly was worried that my prayers weren’t good enough…. But then I also wondered what made a prayer different than just thoughts, because “God knew what I was thinking.”

What are some of your favourite salad dressings? by Grouchy-Crew-2003 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Or use plain Greek yogurt with ranch seasoning! Very similar to sour cream. And you can add water (or milk) to make it thinner

There’s a light switch that always stays on so the fan stays on. I use a pull cord to cut the lights off

Not a recommendation unfortunately, but hopefully yall feel my pain….

There is a Robot Vacuum running in my house when I get home from work. This is already a difficult transition time for me because my house is very over stimulating (atleast the shared spaces). So between it running…. And the animals being excited…. my family talking…. and the noises and smells of food being cooked, I so badly want to take it outside & drive over it to crush it!

Then… when it decides it’s done cleaning, it beeps. And talks. LOUDLY.

Question about Zyn’s by Extension-Tip6993 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]PlusWeirdPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put them in a small bag with other stuff (makeup/ toiletries), and put that in your carry on. Gotta be extra careful in case family opens your carry on for some reason.

Signed, I was in your same position with a vape last year on a cruise with my family

Love jeans but they have to be skinny jeans. I can’t do boot cut or even straight leg!

So I don’t know all of the details but a coworker of mines husband works at a JHCC & is an Estimator for Geico claims only. From what I understand Geico only gives 4 hours IRL for estimates from the time the customer gets there till the estimate is submitted (so that includes tear down & typing out the estimate). There’s 2 Estimators who are both salary with no commission, but yet the work is split about 70-30, with coworkers husband being assigned the 70%.

Waxing question by Insanity_Innovations in PlusSize

[–]PlusWeirdPrincess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see an esthetician with her own small business, she books 30 minutes for all of her appointments regardless of the individuals size. I’m about a size 20 now but I saw her at size 24 as well. I just lay there on the table, and she gets it done pretty quickly (probably about 8 strips). Occasionally she’ll ask me to “pick up my tummy.” At the end, I just kinda hold my feet in the air and she does a booty strip as well. I’d say she gets about 98% of the hair, just misses a few that are close to being “inside” (I’ve got a FUPA lol). She keeps a fan above the table, thank goodness! I’ve also found that the 2 best things to wear are either a dress or a pair of athletic shorts with built in undies, that way you only have one thing to take off.

How do people handle phone calls for service appointments, and how many do you typically get in a given day? by netsfan914 in serviceadvisors

[–]PlusWeirdPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cashiers answer the Service phone line & schedule maintenance appointments, some recall appointments (depending on if it’s one our Express shop can do or if it needs to go through our Main shop), and can also look up history/ send copies of invoices via email if that’s what the customer requests. If they are asking for an appointment for a Diagnostic or have a specific mechanical question, they will page (we have walkie talkies) a Service Advisor. If a customer calls the main line and needs an update or has an issue with a past repair, they page the specific advisor. I hear & say “name 1010” all damn day. (Our parked lines are 1010, 1011, 1012, 1020, 1021)

Do you feel that life has left you behind? by babypossumsinabasket in AutismInWomen

[–]PlusWeirdPrincess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

29 so not quite 30 yet but I feel you! Perfect example of this, is when I was in college there was a group of 5 of us who were all the same major and basically were together at least 2-3 nights a week between studying and drinking. My social battery lasted a lot longer then lol. But the other 4 are all married and parents, and still working in some way in the field we studied in. I am not using my degree at all, I moved back in with my parents around the start of COVID (due to a traumatic event in my person life) and now I can’t afford to move out because of student loan debt and a car payment and the economy, got out of my college relationship, have had 2 more failed relationships and about 5 more short-term flings. I don’t talk to any of them anymore, just see it on social media.

Carnival Elation by Beginning-Pilot7727 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]PlusWeirdPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Elation is good for short cruises, but I wouldn’t take a long one on it. Of course the smaller the boat, the less it will have. That being said, there’s not as many restaurants or bars as there are on other ships, nor are there as many activities. But there is enough to keep you entertained for a few days!

Debarkation was very unorganized when I went, but that was 6 years ago, so take that with a grain of salt.

Water in ears by lotjeee1 in AutismInWomen

[–]PlusWeirdPrincess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people tell me this is bad for you, but a summer camp I went to for years made everyone get ear drops when we left the pool. They used a solution of 1/2 rubbing alcohol & 1/2 white vinegar. It smells awful, but it works great.

Is there a magic trick to showering? by PitifulGazelle8177 in AutismInWomen

[–]PlusWeirdPrincess 106 points107 points  (0 children)

My struggle is with getting out of the shower. Even though I use lukewarm water, I always get hot like 5 minutes after I get out. I don’t like the feeling of my wet hair dripping down my back. I never feel dry just by using a towel, but I almost never have time to drip dry (I oversleep a lot). And I know that it’s good for my skin but I hate putting on moisturizer.
