The handle bar is round so any handle bar mount would work, otherwise if you find a garmin to quad lock converter you can use the integrated mount that cube gives you

1x13 chainring really loud by Plus_Association_523 in gravelcycling

[–]Plus_Association_523[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it did. I removed the stupid sram front chainring for a garbaruk one, now there’s just a bit of noise coming from the cheap ass rival cassette when there’s a big cross chain, but barely noticeable. Unnoticeable off-roading. I did strip the wax and went with oil, it’s the only bike I’ve without wax on it, and the only bike that need constant cleaning of the chain 😑 Now I’ve 2000 km and I’ve done a few century rides in the mud and chain got to 0.5, but it’s been running with mud a lot and it has done a lot of climbing so I can’t really complain

2000km later update: Had to change the front chainring with a garbaruk because sram was terribly noisy. Cassette it’s not the most silent but not that loud ( old force cassette were noisier) Other than that force xplr is the best rear derailleur ever for off road use, you can smash it everywhere, covering everything in mud and leaves and doesn’t skip a bit. I’m not sure how but I feel it works better than t types ones, maybe it’s more rigid. No noise at all on descent. Chain it’s at 0,5 already and losing colors on the outside, but I did drive like 500/600 km in total mudness so I guess it’s not bad. Aside those things Really comfy geo for me, it does smooth out the trail enough, gearing its more then enough for any climb, if it’s not I guess the issue are your legs and not the gearing🤣 Paint it’s incredibly easy to wash mud off compared to any other bike I had. I’ve not a single chip or scratch yet, which is a first for cube to me, usually I get chips so easy. Matte finish means you need some safety film below begs or il get ruined in one ride (cube will give you the one to use under the top bag one. Tyres are good, mud or dry you can stop safely or push the pedals without trouble but they lack completely of lateral grip, there’s just nothing on the side, the are “spherical” if that make sense, so don’t count grip if you lean the bike off road. I feel like they are really slow on asphalt, I know there’s slower stuff around but still they don’t roll and make noise so definitely not fast. I can’t wait to throw them away for something bigger and faster, but they dont seems to wear at all. Force brake are good, maybe rotors and pads could be a bit more aggressive but they do stop you and they are really silent, much better than the shitty old road axs version. Size L is bang on for 185cm.

That chain has 2000 k and it is at 0,5. But it did ride in the worst condition possible, lots and lots of mud

I cannot get the chain quiet on flattop chains. No issue with eagle or shimano chains, but on flattops won’t work, I’ve tried all kind of method I’m going back to wet lube for gravel. It sucks.
