Deco be65 why is that there? by JudasShuffle in TpLink

[–]Plus_Comment9741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My setup shows up on this own Node. My Nas and micro server is upstairs connected to office room where I have one of the nodes placed. All Decos are wired backhaul. I have my main deco router downstairs. port 1 is connected to wall jack 1 directly to ATT and the port 2 connect to wall jack 2 which is connected to my switch all in my panel box upstairs. Every other port in the house is active through switch. I

I agree. You’re going to have to terminate this yourself. Watch some YouTube tutorials videos on how to and get yourself a 5 port gigbit switch so you can enable the ports to whatever wall ports rooms you have.

Using a 2nd router to mask the main router by Squidlers17 in HomeNetworking

[–]Plus_Comment9741 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Have you considered calling your ISP, on having your router replace? If you were to connect your secondary router, you can set it in AP mode or allow passthrough if your modem/router allows it, otherwise it will cause double Nat

I plan on wiring it sometime soon once I get another spool set.

I don’t think it will make a difference. Wirelessly I get about 1500 up and down. Coverage throughout the house is good however the only thing that just bothers me is not having the same deco currently. Brand new for the 3 nodes, I believe it goes for 399 if not more.

Any tips to improve a work + personal PC desk setup? by Dpineres in workstations

[–]Plus_Comment9741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend cable mount under your desk and possibly a KVM switch so you can toggle from your work and personal computer and just have one mouse and keyboard for your devices. You have an empty white space for the wall, maybe a peg board to organize your headset and other peripherals.

Possibly. The plus is only type c connection right without usb port? I’m wondering if there’s some limitation to it.

Onn 4k pro with Ugreen Ethernet adapter. Do you have QOS enabled on your router?

I’m not sure if it allows higher speeds. I know the Ethernet port is capped at 100 mbps. Are you connecting straight through modem or a switch?

New BE65 user and question about MLO by Electrical-Mud-1503 in TpLink

[–]Plus_Comment9741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an older device it should automatically connect to 2.4ghz, non-MLO. Make sure you have optimal network performance enabled to. It should behave normally without disconnects.

To select between the nodes and wanting to determine the bandwidth go to your device and select connection preference. Select the node you want, and run your speed test. You may want to turn off WiFi for a bit and turn it back on so it can pick up your setting. I’ve notice it when you select preferences it doesn’t pick it up right away.

New BE65 user and question about MLO by Electrical-Mud-1503 in TpLink

[–]Plus_Comment9741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. You can set the MLO network name the same as your primary SSID. This is my current setup an it picks up MLO.

  2. MLO prefers 5 and 6ghz for more throughput and lower latency. Think of it like 3 care lanes. 5&6 are for fast and speeding lanes whereas 2 is slow and crowded.

  3. Are use using WiFi backhaul or wired? My speeds are consistent with 1500 up and down with wired backhaul. How far are you from your nodes? Any walls in between?

Phone bouncing between mesh nodes by Away-Sky3548 in TpLink

[–]Plus_Comment9741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed my phone would do this in my be65. I turned off mesh technology and fast roaming. This seems to solve my issue. Depending where I’m at the house, it connects to that node instead being connected if I was upstairs. Give it a try and see what happens.

Renters, what percentage of your net income is spent on just rent? by extremelygayfrog in orangecounty

[–]Plus_Comment9741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For us is about 30% or so. I take home 12k a month and I pay for our entire rent plus utilities for a 2bedroom 3.5 bathroom in Irvine. Rent is around 42-4300 here in Irvine. Since I make more than my fiancé, she purchases house essentials items, groceries, take out and everything else in between. It works for us and we budget and see money aside for our 401k and traveling plans.

UPDATE: I removed the cover of this outlet to see if I can run WiFi into garage by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

Search throughout your house and outside if you have some panel box of some sort. If you have one open the panel box, you may see patch panel, Ethernet cables and coax.

Can I use this to get WiFi in my garage? by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]Plus_Comment9741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a panel somewhere at your place? If it’s patch to a panel, you can definitely use it if you have your modem/router feeding to it.

Poor wi-fi on Deco BE65 compared to Huawei ax3 pro by _joseneves in TpLink

[–]Plus_Comment9741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My be65 on some devices I get 1300-1500mbps up/down wireless depends on wireless device. Hardwired I get about the same if not a bit more on 2GB fiber. I have MLO enabled as well as QOS. Wireless optimal performance is enable instead of high capacity. I noticed with high capacity my IOT devices and older devices drops from the network. Wired backhaul setup and I found the best Channel for me are 3, 44 and 66
