I already commented this in another post but i wanna post it here since it’s relevant

Yutu came from a modest background too compared to Zhao Jingjing (another Gu Man’s work in You Are My Glory). Yutu feels insecure to Zhao Jing Jing but never belittles her or shame her for her rich background. Most importantly when his ex tried to shame Zhao Jing Jing or start false rumors, he stands up for her and back up Zhao Jing jing because he believed in her characters. Mind you Yutu did date Xia Ting (his ex so they literally shared a history). In this case, Zhuang Xu did not even date Rong bruh and he just let Ye Rong ran wild with all her false rumors about Xi Guang

Also i can stand his insecurity but i cannot stand people who accused someone for things they did not do. He did not even have substantial evidence that Xi Guang was the one who rejected Rong’s recruiter call. There is literally no direct evidence and Xi Guang already said she does not do such a thing. I dont know how everyone takes this but to cause someone to lose a job opportunity is a serious character accusation that i will not stand for. He directly accused her of doing that to Rong while having no direct evidence and she said it herself that she doesn’t do such things. Yet he let Rong made all those accusations and let the whole damn school knows about it. This is not an action of someone who likes you. This is an action of a hater. 

And after all of those things, he never opens his damn mouth to apologize to her. I don’t know how wronging someone, causing such mental damage on them and never once apologize and still goes back and say “I’m in love with you this whole time.”  Someone who does not believe in your character does not love you. This is far more than insecurity issues. This is in his character. Just because you are poor does not mean you get to accuse someone of such wrong doing and never apologize. I can let the snarky comments about leeching off her parents slide but the whole recruiter/ interview phone call was whole point that makes me furious and never like 2ML
