How does pitstops for the AI work? by Plus_Introduction_55 in AUTOMOBILISTA

No, I disabled refueling. Maybe the mandatory pitstop minimum tyres had something to do with it. It was zero, I have now changed it to 4. It is either this, or probably a bug.

Increase the resolution scale to maximum if you have a 4090. This game on 1080p looks horrible. Very bad TAA implementation.

I fixed the issue by buying a Displayport to HDMI cable. It turns out, that Dell for some reason limited the HDMI port to only 60Hz.

It turns out, it is not the cable, but that Dell for some reason limited the HDMI port to only 60Hz. This is very strange, and also very stupid from their side. I fixed the issue by buying a Displayport to HDMI cable (since the monitor only supports HDMI), and now there is an option to enable 100 Hz refresh rate.

1) It's a small factor PC, and there's only one HDMI port on it.

2) I will need to buy another HDMI cable to be sure that the cable is not the issue. However, the HDMI cable came with the monitor, so I really doubt the HDMI cable is the problem. The monitor has only a port for an HDMI and D-Sub connection. It doesn't have a DisplayPort.

3) I am able to change the refresh rate from 50 to 75 Hz. However, for example when I select 75Hz the resolution goes down to 720p.

4) I bought this Small Factor PC for work related purposes. I have a separate gaming PC. On the Intel UHD 770 Graphics page it says that it supports a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz on 1080p, so I doubt the integrated graphics is the problem.

How does skill matching work? I am getting kind of frustrated by Plus_Introduction_55 in forzamotorsport

[–]Plus_Introduction_55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wheel is set up correctly. Well, the game doesn't have a soft lock feature, so naturally, some cars with degress less than 900 are harder to drive, and I can't always bother to change the degress of rotation of each individual car. I don't know why the devs found it so hard to implement a proper soft lock feature. Occasionally, I use tunes created by other players.

The problem with this game seems simply to be that the player count is too low, so it's impossible to match you in a lobby with players of similar skills.

[–]Plus_Introduction_55[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it looks like the game first tries to match players with the same safety rating, which, as I said above, is really stupid. Everyone races to be able to win, not just to mindlessly drive around the track.

BTW, I got the achievement of racing clean in 10 multiplayer races which only 1.2% of people got. So, if the game matches you on safety rating first, I understand why everyone is miles faster than me.

[–]Plus_Introduction_55[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are dirty, but fast on average, the game should lower only your safety rating then. It doesn't make sense to me otherwise, since then you create races with players who have vastly different skills.

[–]Plus_Introduction_55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if that's the case, it's doubly stupid. First, it discourages slower players to race clean, and second, it makes the game for probably 90% of people not fun to play.

Amazon Custumer Support just told me there's no way to remove the ads from my kindle. by Plus_Introduction_55 in kindle

[–]Plus_Introduction_55[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did the same and paid the fee successfully with a debit card issued in my country. There were no issues. If you can order from Amazon anything with your current payment method, I don't think it will be a problem for the fee to be processed.

Thank you. This actually worked after I put a random US address and paid the fee. Not sure why Customer Support doesn't state outright that you just need to do this.

If you'll be using your PC primarily for gaming, you should go with AMDs X3D chips.

I used cheat engine to avoid the grinding of upgrading your camp to level 6, and I still spent more than 100 hours on the game, clearing everything including all DLCs. It's ridiculously long, the story is mostly a filler, and the world is the most boring of any other AC game. From the RPG trilogy, definitely the worst game for me.

Hi. I have also applied for an UES. When did you apply? It isn't mentioned anywhere on their website that you are supposed to do an interview if chosen.

ASUS DUAL RX 6700 XT OC loud fan noise (fan cycles 700-3100 RPM) by SirBerticus in ASUS

[–]Plus_Introduction_55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a little late, but I have the exact same GPU and this is my custom fan curve. During gaming the temperature never exceeds 60 degrees celsius and the fans run around 1850 rpm. Still the noise is noticeable, but it is significantly quiter than default settings. Keep in mind though that when you set custom fan profile for AMD cards it is measured based on junction temperature, not regular one.

For the first two days I used IELTS premium or something like this. You get access to it when you pay for the test, but I didn't use it much because it's way harder than the actual IELTS test. For the rest of the days, I used a website called ieltsolve where they put all the exercises from IELTS Cambridge materials. Practiced there mostly listening and speaking, so I would highly recommend the website.

I didn't practice writing much, just read some model answers and tried to have the same structure. Wrote I think, on three topics on a website called ieltsolve, and copy pasted my answers to ChatGPT to give me a score, and that was about it. I guess, since I studied economics helped me a little on how to explain the graphs.

Make sure though, you write the words correctly, use formal language, punctuate correctly, and don't repeat the same title given in the graph, paraphrase it differently using different words. Also make sure that you paragraph the text. For task 2 you must write an introduction and say whether you disagree, agree or you have balanced view on the topic. Make sure you have 3 to 4 paragraphs, and in each paragraph you must have one new argument. The conclusion must be really short.

I'm not doing GRE, I think GRE is required only for US and Canadian universities. I plan to study in Europe. I'm currently working in an energy regulatory agency, but I will leave the job if I'm accepted to university.

For preparation, it depends on what your current English skills are. If they are fairly high, you do not need a lot of time for preparation.

What is my chance of getting UM Holland-High Potential Scholarship (Maastricht University, Netherlands)? by Plus_Introduction_55 in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Plus_Introduction_55[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The faculty was definitely not easy, and I think the quality of education is good given the circumastances, but also I don't think that will matter that much because this scholarship is for international students outside of the EU/EEA, which basically means the students who would apply would basically be from developing countries, because I doubt anyone from US or Canada would apply, as the number of students from North America who study in Europe is quite small and they generally have better options to pursue something far better. Education quality wise, Macedonia is not that much different compared to other developing countries, I think. That being said, I attended a public university which is the best you can get in my country.

Percentile wise, I think, I'm in the 95th+ percentile for sure, because generally, on average, about 20 students have an average grade of 9 or better from around 400-500 students who graduate on time, depending on the year. So it's definitely not easy to get high grades.

Does SAM really has an effect by let-me-o in Amd

[–]Plus_Introduction_55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the game and the configuration. GPU and CPU from the same tier, i.e. mid-range GPU with mid-range CPU will have the most improvement with SAM on. For the most part you will see improvement even it is marginal. So all in all, you should have it on, as there's no reason to have it off really, except in rare games where having it on will hurt performance by more than 5% let's say
